Panda Free Antivirus 2015 anyone using?

Panda Free Antivirus 2015 anyone using?

It got a favorable review from PCMag

Just wondering if anyone has experience with it. Generally I don't like real time shield av.  But if it has a good scanner I may try it out.

I have never used Panda personally. I have known people who have tried it and it always ends badly, often with a need to reinstall their OS.

Ouch!!  Thanks for the heads up.  I'll steer clear.

Never had any issues with Panda AV free version.
An occasional ad popup, otherwise very light and pretty fast for scans.

Was recommended to it by a friend at TechSupportAlert.com who uses it for Windows even if he is mostly a Linux user.
But i did use it in the past, especially after dropping AVG and ESET (the later to my regret - but no free version there).
Presently using 360 Total Security (even in light of latest negative press) but that doesn't take away my appreciation for Panda.

BTW, i skip toolbar installation etc. when i do install Panda.

Hi, I installed it on a slow PC, a HP210 running XP Starter Edition, where Kaspersky was putting this machine down on its knees, rendering it unusable.  After Panda Free 2015, it is again "workable" and no special error spotted to far.

Discount codes ?

I was looking at the Free edition.  I haven't noticed any giveaways lately.
Although in the PC Mag article the free one is rated higher than some of the paid av programs.

Sure thing.  :)

Edit: I think the installer wants to change your browser home page and some other option.  But according to the PcMag article the options can be deselected.

Oh, I meant a free version for Emsisoft.  I already have Panda Free installed...
