Dear all,

5 years ago, skwire helped me with this unzipping request http://www.donationc...ex.php?topic=21424.0
But today I have found 3 things that are annoying me with skwire's solution with .rar files:
Quote
"Here's the 7-zip version: Download : http://skwire.dcmemb...nacks/RecurUnZip.zip "

1) Extract .rar files inside current directory not root folder.
All .rar files located inside these folders :
C:\test\2015-04\1\ and C:\test\2015-04\2\
are unzipped inside this folder:
C:\test\2015-04\
instead of this folder :
C:\test\2015-04\1\ and C:\test\2015-04\2\ respectively.

2) Possibility to delete .rar files once unzipped

3) Possibility to unzip only .rar files

Note: currently I still using this old unzipping software http://unziplify.en.uptodown.com/ for unzipping mainly .zip files (it doesn't work well with .rar files unzipping only one per session). I am still using it years later (even in windows 8.1 64bits) because it respects the windows 260 characters limits or so. This is less powerful that 7zip (which has no limit) but I am sure that later on, other windows softwares (that have the windows 260 characters limit) can read the unzipped files. ;)

Many thanks in advance ;)

Have you given this a look?:  http://www.extractnow.com  It's a beautifully designed program that works well for me.

Hello skwire,
Thanks. ;) Yes; In fact just before asking today's question here, I have tested it (see latest release here : http://www.extractnow.com/releases/) on Win8.1 64bits and it didn't worked (I can't drag and drop a folder on it). ;(
The author explains why here http://www.extractnow.com/support.php :
" I currently develop on Windows 7 and refuse to upgrade to Windows 8 because its garbage so I won't be able to fix Windows 8 specific bugs."

Thanks in advance ;)

I have just realized that I have not used the last version ! I do some tests and I get back to you. ;)
caution: when installing last version 4.8.2 (apparently there are some malware inside) ! I am currently using malwarebytes to remove those. ;(

(I can't drag and drop a folder on it)

I realise it's not as convenient, but you can right-click the list and use the "Add archives" or "Search for archives" options, no?

Thanks skwire ! ;)

I am using version 4.8.2 (caution to click "skip" 2 times during install) with success on win8.1 64bits. ;)

Thanks for the option idea :

"(...)Search for archives" options, no?
I have also added : include : only *.rar files. ;)

Thanks again ;)

So, does ExtractNow cover your needs?  If so, do you mind if I mark this thread as solved?
