I've been looking into efficient and easy ways to keep backups of a server and came across these two tools.
Note these are not for casual users, but for server admin types, and run mostly on *nix.

I use RIBS (Rsync Incremental Backup Script) to back up servers. It use rsync to minise netwrk traffic.

RIBS is run by cron jobs. Theservers doneed shell access.

It is very efficent and easy to use.
