Mouser, maybe we should consider editing the title of this board to reflect that fact that it is intended for people having trouble obtaining or entering a licence into a Donationcoder app? Don't ask me for a new title, though - I'm just an ideas man!  |

Grief that was a really polite response ... what you should have said was ...... (unprintable/unladylike thoughts) Can't we just start deleting these threads? Even better why not make this section only visible to contributing members of the site - they are the only ones that get licenses unless Mouser is feeling generous and has had a conversation with someone - they are then an honorary member so they would have access too. |

Even better why not make this section only visible to contributing members of the site Brilliant, and simple, idea - Carol. It would definitely cut down on these types of questions. Perhaps it's not necessary/desireable to limit it to contributing members, though. Probably better to make it available to all members but restrict access to guests. Mouser's software does require a licence so there are non-contributors who might have trouble installing licences and what not. They are required to register here to get the free licence, though... |

this site has nothing to do with providing license keys for programs made by other companies.. best way to get a license key is to buy the program.

I thought an "honorary member," in common usage, was usually someone who had made so great a contribution for so long that the organisation felt honour-bound not to accept monies from her/him? |

in our case honorary usually means they did something to warrant getting a full membership other than donating. people can also be upgraded to plain "member" when they should have full access to all site areas for other reasons (like a shareware author who needs access to the shareware codes section). occasionally i mess up and give someone honorary title when they should just be made plain "member", and vice versa.
