Cybernetnews lists Top 15 Ultra Tiny Apps (and a few more cool and handy tools mentioned in the comments).

Here's a link to another good list of Power replacements for built-in Windows utilities by Lifehacker.

Thanks for the Cybernetnews pointer - there were a couple interesting-looking utilities I had never even heard of before.  Off to check them out...

cool list but at least 5 of the tools can replicated with Autohotkey reducing them to a single EXE file.. :)

yes, TinyApps.org is a very good resource for er.. tiny apps that are under 1.44MB. the author also covers Palm & OS X.. :)
