Elitists of the World - UNITE!
« on: December 05, 2013, 09:05:02 AM »
Now you can save the universe, cure all human woe, design the ultimate future, have fun - AND look absolutely fabulous while doing so!

Is it me, or does something like this just make you want to scream FUBAR at the top of your lungs?

You Won’t Want to Miss Fixing the World: Reason Seminar Cruise 2014!

Dec. 5, 2013 9:10 am

Register today at xxxx

Spend a week with author, columnist and speaker Virginia Postrel, whose fascinating work runs the gamut from science to fashion. Virginia is the former Editor in Chief of Reason magazine, and is the author of the soon-to-be-released Power of Glamour.

Other speakers on this year’s cruise include “skeptical environmentalist” Bjorn Lomborg, author and historian Johan Norberg, Reason Editor in Chief Matt Welch, Reason TV Editor in Chief Nick Gillespie, Reason Science Correspondent Ron Bailey, and Reason Senior Editor Jacob Sullum.

We’ll be traveling in style on the Celebrity Silhouette, and all-inclusive accommodations start at just $1,650 per person (and range up to deluxe cabins with incredible ocean views and private verandas)...

Her "fascinating work runs the gamut from science to fashion"?????

All that? Great Cthulhu protect us! Let's get her in here...I'd like to take a group photo - of her.

It's not you.  This stuff makes me nauseous.  Every little thing has to be overhyped.  i takes all sorts of crazies i guess...

All this Cthulhu talk.  You're making me want to read some lovecraft.

You don't want to go there. I've been binging on all things Mythos for the last 5 days. Lost a LOT of productivity. :tellme:

Hmmm, for some reason that photo reminds me of "The Stupendous Yappi" in X-Files Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose episode.

I used to listen to The David Brudnoy Show in Boston.  At one time he was a member of MENSA.  I guess due to old ties he invited the 2 MENSA recruiters to his radio show once a year.  The funny thing was the woman of the pair may have had some high I.Q. but she had no common sense.  Most of the show was occupied by Brudnoy and the male MENSA recruiter ripping their hair out as they tried to get her to grasp simple concepts pertaining to the workings of the real world.  It was hilarious... sort of like when The Three Stooges passed themselves off as College Professors(tm).  :)

(I've been binging on it for a couple of years.  I've found some REALLY interesting stuff.)

Heh heh.  When I think of The General(tm) uttering "I Shall Return" only to top it later with "I Have Returned" I think former Cal. Governor Arnie S. may not be as stupid as I thought with "I'll Be Back."  :)

It's starting to scare me.  Just today I was remembering this cute high school girl I dated when she was 15.  Now, if she's still alive, she's 51 years old!!  Damn!!  I guess time goes by quickly even if you're not having fun.  :)

No, I've taken up going back to college. A cornstalk pipe wouldn't be nearly as time-consuming!

Now I know why you're going back to school.  You'll learn more from the coeds than the professors I'm sure.  ;)
If I can get some institution to sponsor me(or find some lucrative work) I might just go myself.  You should see what the college girls are not wearing in Miami!!  Aiyyyy.  :)

I must be getting old. The young coeds are attractive enough, to be sure. Unfortunately, when most of them speak it's apparent they don't have a brain in their heads and they quickly become less interesting.

I completely understand this viewpoint. It was by blind luck I stumbled into a situation where I was able to take advantage of a free ride to college. I was shocked that others who were presented with the same offer turned it down.

Uninhibited college girls with access to warm weather, sunny beaches, and generous amounts of alcohol...I'm sure the amount of interesting combinations is truly endless.

Ah, that's where they demonstrate their genius.  They get us guys to underestimate them.  Pretty soon they own your car and are gassing it up using your credit card.   :P

Haha...I don't know about that, Miles. Seems they are cranking out a dumber version of gold diggers these days. Don't worry about them not being able to buy anything to eat, though. Seems they are cranking out a dumber version of gold diggees, too.  ;)

I'll skip the rant. It's not even fit for the Basement.

Read Immanuel Kant. That should explain a bit.

I'm sickened.
