Ok, I tried doing the primary + archive rescue idea (posted above).
I booted to a minimalistic secondary snapshot. Then, I tried to update my primary from there.
It didn't work because the archive doesn't show up in the list of "source" snapshots. The instructions show a little camera icon for archives. I don't have that. I have big red cross in the tree, and it doesn't show up in the source, so it is basically useless. I wonder if it's corrupted.

Not saving my day...

Are there any errors/interruptions when you create the archive?

Can't remember... I don't think so. I'll create a new one and see...

You can view the activity logs under "Tools" for errors.

What's the story on that?? I was trying to Archive my primary snapshot to an external HD and it always fails; whilst archiving other snapshots works fine??

Do you have any error message to show? Because with no errors/pictures, I can only guess.
I'm searching the wilder forum and someone had a similar problem. He changed the copy function and the problem's solved.

This is the link I found.

I received the offer for RX suite but from what I can tell, it doesn't offer any new capabilities that I don't already have covered with the freeware CrapCleaner.

I just joined a short while ago.  I found this thread and wanted to say that HorizonDataSys http://www.horizondatasys.com has become a reseller for FDISR as well as offering Rollback Rx.  You can find info about both of them here http://www.horizonda...m/foolproofsoftware/  Which is Horizonsdatasys site or here http://www.wildersse...wthread.php?t=177987 which is a thread at Wilders that is ongoing.  I use and recommend Rollback Rx but FDISR is good as well.  They are fairly similar and can even be used together.  One has some features the other doesn't and visa versa.  if you have any questions reguarding Rollback please feel free to ask as I should be able to answer most of them.  If you have questions about FDISR I'm not as familiar but still can answer some.  Also they both have trial version so if you want try them out.  I do help beta test Rollback but that does not influence my posts.  I use it because I like it.

Thanks,

Chris
