I echo Samer's findings.  Screenshot Captor is the best screenshot software out there.  Thanks Mouser (and congratulations for the well-deserved praise).

Thank you for the post and the kind words jaden.  It means a lot to me to hear people like the software and like DC.

This program is good as Irfan View and a little better for me, i am speaking for myself, and although its free i really like this and i am going to replace my Irfanview with this program, thanks Mouser, can't believe this Forum has quite good coders.

Is their any option to autosave the screenshot taken to be placed in the Desktop, i downloaded the portable version and its default location seems to be.c:\ScreenshotCaptorPortable\Screenshots\
Is their any way i can change that to Desktop, after each  snapshot it will ask for where you want to place the file to be saved, that is which i changed it with the feature After Capture :Hide the Main Form.
But it will save in c:\ScreenshotCaptorPortable\Screenshots\   : is their any way i can change that to Desktop.

Great program.

in preferences,
"Screenshot folder & tools" for location of screenshot folder
"Interface Options 1" for choice of automatic save ("stay minimised") or pop-up dialogue (read the "Tip" there)

Yeah i got it now, stupid of me not to see those options, anyway besides integrating with a wide range of format , which irfanview does with its slidshow viewer this tool has the ability to take snapshots with a hotkey , that is what it make it a winner tool then irfanview.

 Thank you again.
Definitely a keeper.

It'd be interesting to know just how many hours mouser has spent developing Screenshot Captor.

Ditto. I'd love it if every app said that in the About box.

Congratulations to mouser!

FreewareGenius has updated their review of Mouser's Screenshot Captor with these nice words:
Quote
I am quite happy about this development, but also grateful that the developer took the time to address an issue that I raised in my original review of this program; I quote “I want you to know I really took [the review] to heart and it was the primary reason i just finished 8 hours of coding to add that feature:. So, thanks go to Mouser of DonationCoder for all his hard work (and also for a very good implementation).

Just another reason why Mouser and the whole DonationCoder community seems so highly regarded.  Congratulations!  Thmbsup

To me, it is only "best in class" if it actually covers people's workflows. I have been begging working with Mouser to implement about 2-3 features that keep me from using it. All told they are quite easy fixes. Im my opinion, on a broad level a High End Solution (eek did I say that?) needs to totally subsume the abilities of certain low level apps. Fortunately, my modest requirements are easy to do, and Mouser has already implemented one, and the second one is ... uh... under negotiation.

Then once certain workflows are covered, you can do the switchover.

Nah Mouser, you deserve it - because you are entertaining a couple of "minor features" is why you will rule screenshots : )
