I'm happy to announce the birth of a baby cody plushie. He was created by an artist on etsy.com by commission. More info about the artist (onetruetree): here. I think she did a great job! Now we all know that Baby Cody will bring a great amount of good luck to whoever he lives with.. So we need to decide who that should be.. Perhaps we need to have another "drawing cody" contest or something? ps. I think our own app103 is still up for making a Cody plushie and i'd like to encourage anyone else who feels like giving it a try to show us what you make!NEWS: Baby Cody now has is own toyvoyagers.com page: http://www.toyvoyagers.co....php?a=topic&t=101837

Hurrah! I'm so glad he's liked. I had lots of fun making him! If anyone else is ever interested in a custom plushie, just let me know. You can either go to my etsy store ( http://onetruetree.etsy.com) or email me at ottcreations@yahoo.com. *does the happy dance*

THAT is adorable! I can only hope whatever I make will look half as good. wonder could anyone knit one . . My original thought was to crochet one, but without a decent pattern, all I can make is cats and pigs. And the amount of time it would take to do one wouldn't make it practical to "mass produce" them in a large enough quantity to make them available for anyone that wanted one.

ooh, that's nicely done. all the right features are there. i'm impressed.
how about sending the baby cody around the world to visit all the DC members - each member taking a photo of baby cody at their location. sightseeing or getting into an adventure or something.
they then post baby cody onto another DC member until he makes his way home to mouser.

how about sending the baby cody around the world to visit all the DC members Yes we actually could do that -- we could even use the ToyVoyagers thing to help facilitate it.

I have an idea that would work out well at the beginning, but not so well after a little while. I was thinking that we could ship it out to people by post count order. That is, people who have the most posts get Cody Plushie first. And to prevent people from artificially inflating their posts, we can just take a snapshot of where it is now. The idea is to get Cody to the most active members on this forum first as a reward for being so awesome. The problem is that there are some relatively new members who are active and contribute a lot but don't have a very high post count yet.

good point, Deozaan. i never thought about where Cody should go - it could be very complicated.
maybe Cody could just attend the DC member gatherings when they take place - or, at least, those events would have to take priority for Cody's attention - perhaps.

Maybe he could go on holidays and return home after each visit (with postcards and photos from his travels) - I'm sure Nudone and myself would make him more than welcome on a UK visit

in case this wasn't clear.. this was a one of a kind custom plushie created by onetruetree above, through the very cool site esty.com. so he is unique. i think it's agreed we are going to send him around the world using ToyVoyagers.com, where if i understand it correctly, DC members can request he be passed along to them for a visit before being passed along to the next person. [each person should take some photos of baby cody when they visit with him]. maybe we should make sure he is sent to each dc gathering ahead of time

looking forward to seeing the toyvoyagers journey.
when you say unique - he's unique right now, but someone could order a cody plushie from Abbey at Etsy, so then he wouldn't be unique. have you mentioned anything to Abbey about keeping baby cody unique - if not, might be worth agreeing upon something - maybe.

eh, if someone wants another custom baby cody, so be it.. each one would end up be unique anyway.
just remember all those movies about Clones who turn evil.. the more you clone him, the more chance you risk that you will get an evil clone.
