I'm really curious to discover some new unusual snacks. I'll start out with one that i recently rediscovered: Joray's fruit rolls: We used to eat these as kids and as much as i've searched i've never found another brand that was edible compared to these; made in brooklyn, super thinly rolled, with plenty of artificial colors and flavors. They may not be organic but they are far superior to the competition.

I like: - museli mixed into yoghurt
- any fruit
- Ryvita crackers (plain or with chunky peanuts-only peanut butter and/or cheese)
- microwave popcorn (I put 1/3 cup popcorn in a paper lunch bag, fold the opening over a couple of times and nuke it for 1 minute 20 seconds)
Sadly, I am also prone to binging on cookies - with a 4 and a 6 year old in the house these are never in short supply - but have been MUCH better at NOT doing this over the past few months and have lost about 11 kg/25 pounds as a result In fact, you could say that I am skeletal now

Korean cuisine features a lot of tofu and I love it... just not necessarily as a snack. Having said that, Yubu Chobap is awesome and makes an awesome snack. There! I said it! Of course, Yubu Chobap is a Korean take on a Japanese favourite, but still...

It's too hard to pick a single snack food as my favorite. I love so many. But in the interests of promoting small companies that sure could use the business during this recession, I am going to introduce you to something I like a lot, but don't often have the opportunity to have... Chocolate covered fortune cookies! http://www.emilyschocolat...com/storecategory117.aspx

I prefer Original Wine Gums, supersalty licorice, and bread sticks. In general my snacks should be small so I can just put them in my mouth and return to typing, and they must be non-greasy as I don't want to wipe my hands everytime before I go back to typing.
Small cookies are fine too. And when I read a longer piece of text or watch a movie I peel&eat oranges or bananas.

Didn't someone here at DC mention making homemade yogurt sometime before? I'd like the recipe for that.

Ok, I am about to gross some people out here. While this isn't my FAVORITE (which would probably be strawberry icecream) my favorite unusual snack is pickled pigs feet. I know, I know. Weird, and definitely gross, but yet good. I am from the south, and this is definitely an aquired taste. Its one of those things that if you didn't grow up eating you will probably never like.

Easy for you! Round here we can seldom find a pickled pig. Most are only half-drunk at best.
