I've finished implementing a (long requested) Ignore Thread mod and improving the current Bookmarking thread mod; will be uploaded soon.
I've done it in a way to make it easy to add other User-topic annotations, so such things may come next, like a Rating system.

Note that i went ahead and added a Rating system. Currently ratings are 100% private -- i.e. when you rate a thread it doesn't affect anyone else and isn't shown to anyone else; we may change that later. For now, just think of it as a separate bookmark folder. When you "Bookmark" a thread, it doesn't get added to your list of rated topics, and vice versa.
Note that the Ignored Topics list will keep a thread from showing up in your list of Recent or Unread topics, but the topic will still show up if you browse a specific forum section.

my bookmarks are back! now off to try the other features. the ratings system sounds promising, could be extended to a much more comprehensive tagging system.

The new buttons are confusing me a bit. I usually check the list of unread posts and then press the 'mark all messages as read' button.
This button used to be the leftmost, but now it's tucked in between the others and I have to be careful to stop myself from clicking 'bookmark selected' and then look for the right one.
It may just be me that has this force of habit problem, but I would prefer if the button I use the most was easy to locate (leftmost or rightmost) .. anyone have an opinion?

easy for me to change the order of them. moving mark all read to far left is fine with me.

First class Being slow to comprehend, however, it took a while before the light bulb illuminated. At first, I didn't notice

Yes i'm using the ignore threads and can't recommend any improvements at this time. Personally, not using rating yet nor bookmarks not sure how to add it to my workflow. I just follow last topics and ones where I posted in it or bookmark it in my browser at the moment.

I'm ignoring things (could ignore this thread if you like). It's fine. Haven't rated anything. It'll probably take a while for the benefits of that to sink in. I suspect that the absence of requests implies that your mods work well 'out of the box'. Can one aggregate the ratings somewhere, somehow? At the end of say 3 months would there be an easy way to determine which poster had the greatest star quality in one's personal firmament?

There are lots of possibilities with the Rating system, like showing a page of recently top rated posts, combining ratings of everyone, etc.
I could also add the ability to assign free text tags to threads so that you could categorize your bookmarks, etc.

Seems pretty good to me so far I particularly like the "ignore thread" feature Is it possible / easy to end up back at the page where one clicks on "IGNORE SELECTED IN FUTURE" button? I find that after I have selected some threads to ignore, I'm likely to want to do it again.

The reason i got confused is because if you are coming from the unread all page, presumably you can just click the Unread button at top of forum to go back there.. but i can see that it would be more useful to have a link in the box saying "threads added!" that says "Go Back to Where I Came From".

Hmm, I see it looks like there is a link for going back now -- I appreciate your efforts, but in my case if navigation is necessary to read unread post views, I already have different sets of unread posts views bookmarked so I probably will end up using those. The process of getting to the bookmarks is always the same -- it doesn't involve searching for a link on a page.
