Yes you can.  PopupWisdom does not need an installation program, you can simply copy the files to any PC, wherever you want them.

To extract the files without running the installation program, just run any unzip program (like winzip for example) and open the .exe file as if it was a zip file and extract the contents.  Or rename PopupWisdomSetup.exe to PopupWisdomSetup.zip and unzip it as normal smiley

First I uninstall the normal version and clean the rest with the Explorer.

Then I rename the installer to a zip file and extracted with no problem.

I recover my books from a folder specially for the ocassion.

But when i executed popupwisdom i obtain this :

by the way, you can attach images to your posts, no need to use image hosting.

popup wisdom doesnt install any system files so i dont know why it would give that error when running in portable mode.. does it run on your pc if you install it normally?

"does it run on your pc if you install it normally?" . Yes. Perfectly well in that case.

I have the program iniatially installed in the normal way. Perhaps is something interfering. How can i clean the registry of the normal version ?

Thanks

i dont think the license key is in the registry unless i messed up something.. even so, that wouldnt be cause of error.

I have installed in the normal way PopUpWisdom in several partitions with windows xp pro operating system.
Because of i want the portable version is obvious.
In my partition C: i have correctly installed the program and I observed one difference with the folder in the portable version .

I don't have in the portable version the ini file.

I think I have something corrupt in that folder. So I began for the beginning.

I download according to your indications the exe file to zip file.

and then execute directly the popup wisdom.exe with good result.

Even I put my books in the folder first and after unzip the file don't use the original books folder with good results.

Perfect.

I suppose that in the past was a faulting file in that folder

Now I am in a new installation and recover a good program.

Thanks
