I currently use PS Hot Launch ( http://www.pssoftlab.com/pshl_info.phtml ), which is not strictly speaking a launch bar, but a fully customizable and freeware menu program that sits in the System Tray and effectively replaces the Start Menu and Quick Launch. In addition to listing and grouping applications as you like, you can do the same with documents, folders, web pages, and email addresses. Configuration is easy with drag and drop.

Rick

I have used hot launch for years, and I echo that since I started using Find and Run I mainly use it for active locations, sort of a shortcut navigator.
As for what I would want in a launcher:
1.  Drag and Drop configuration
2.  cascading sub menus
3.  One of my favorite features of true launch bar (which I still use on my home machine) is the ability to drag a file into a folder located on any of my submenus.
4 Access to windows featured locations (like network places, or the control panel) with a single click

I guess that, in general, I would want it to be easy and fast to set up, and just as easy to change, along with being easy to transfer from one computer to another.

I have been using tclockx about as long as Mouser, though I have had some small irritations since switching to XP.  For a simple calendar app I have used AMP calendar for a while.   :)http://www.ampsoft.net/utilities/Calendar.php.  Very simple calendar display and nicely customizable.

OK, it's official.  You people are crazy.  I think I'm going to like it here.  I actually started this thread because I couldn't imagine any moderator leaving a post with that title here, and was pleasantly surprised by the bright spirits and lively banter.

Wow, this is really a cool concept.  Nice adjunct to this site.  Thanks for the recommendation.

I am a long time Netflix user.  Sorry to hear about the troubles in the UK, but here in the US I have nothing but good things to say about the service.  I am on the cheapest level of service and I love the fact that I can split my lists.  My wife maintains her own list, as does my daughter.  I return a movie and get the replacement generally the next day.  I find a lot of hard to find movies, and I really love the service.  I also travel a good deal and the ability to take movies with me and not be worried about late fees is a real benefit to me.  You do have to watch movies a lot in order to make it pay, but overall we have saved a lot of money using this service instead of going to our local Blockbuster.
