I've acquired a whole new level of respect for cats after watching this...

I clicked on this one and it played fine. I'm running v.14 though.

Talk about an oxymoron.

Very true... I hadn't noticed it.

My next (amazing) contribution to DoCo: an owl who's achieved Zen Mode. :D

OK, so that got a bit too much beyond what we do at DoCo

Hardly, I'm sure that was a tempered post and this is an Obama thread, after all. I could probably go on a very long rant and still have a lot left to say but let's just leave it at -> from what I know (and most of the voices I hear are left-wingers), I don't think he's the messiah he campaigned as either... far from it. But then anyone who actually bought all that spiel has far more serious problems than a lying politician.

Mod request: Can we just move this thread off to The Basement pls., so we don't have to worry about it exploding here?

One of the most feel-good posts I've encountered on Reddit (with original caption).

Yes, now that we've successfully diffused a thread on religion, let's really get to work on a political one. ;D I hope mouser has a good stash of Xanax.  :P

Yeah, he is a corporate whore, like the rest of them, isn't he? ;)

I heard the other guy is worse... but then my knowledge of US politics mainly comes from watching Letterman, Bill Maher and the Comedy Central shows... *shrug*
There's also CNN, but I'm only considering the relatively serious sources.

I'm looking forward to the "Best troll posts" list.
Not sure if complimenting my trolling or asking me to STFU.
I think my opting for Option b. would be safer.  ;)

I dunno. Could be Samsung... *ducks*

Is that a mac?? :P

I sometimes open 30-40 tabs simultaneously using my bookmarks manager. The difference between versions becomes pretty apparent then. I also run a whole lot of addons... with something like FF, mileages will always vary. Good to know your problem's sorted though. :)

It's The Basement and not the Basement. Get your terminology straight, Renegade!

That video was hilarious! It's an ongoing battle... people who have gotten away with stealing throughout their careers are dreading the onset of technology and the effect it would have on their side income. He's doing his darndest to spread FUD about technology. Too bad his own mind is a bit... clouded. ;D Fcuking pig!

Thanks 40, I'll bear that in mind. I've been curious about objectivism for a while now, because it gets referenced from time to time in pop culture.

otherwise smart people...

Looks like I have the upper hand here. ;D I didn't get "the most dangerous books" part till I read f0dder's comment... see what I mean? There's atleast one other book in that genre that I consider equally dangerous.

Thanks for the links too. I'll come back to them once I've heard what Ms.Rand has to say.

I usually just skim the applelovin' threads  :-[, so apologies if this has been posted before...

I think it's rather ironic and fitting for this one.

I've picked up Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead once again. I'd abandoned it years back, I remember it being interesting but a similar scenario played out in the story once too often and I lost patience. Hope to complete it this time... (once I get through all those missed Breaking Bad episodes.  ;D)
