Living Room / Beware the Google Threat - Big Fat Ass Brother (BFAB)
« on: August 21, 2008, 10:45 PM »
Google shapes our lives.. well for those who use it any how. Ok, search engines shape our lives, google def. not an exception. All hail big G!  :'(

When we boot up and get online we hardly notice that Google dispatches a cookie set to expire in 35 years. Then Google filters our reality, dictates our aesthetic, collates and catalogs our memories, chooses what information we mine. The Google experience becomes a collective Rorschach test, which shapes our worldview and affects who we are and what we will become.

Living Room / Re: Drinking Vinegar?
« on: June 01, 2008, 04:29 AM »
f0dder, no its not bad, if you research the question, you will find it's not bad to drink it.. (some thing I done when I was worried if it was bad to drink as much vinegar as I did.. lol)

I love vinegar, I can eat any food with it, and yes, I usually drink a few mouth fulls with my meals :D
(not to mention sauce, sauce and vinegar, I don't think I would eat as much with out them.. )

edit: I drink regular vinegar.. this vinegar made especially for drinking, never tried that tho.. I'm happy with my V, I don't drink drink it, but with meals I have a substantial amount :P

AceText ftw.

Very nice review Ken! I just installed and tried Linkman last night, looks solid, will play with it more the coming days.. once again nice write up.. and a good piece of software here.

Question:

I some how disabled/removed the button from the browsers (in the title bar, right side next to the 3 regular ones), how can I get it back?

142
Well reviewed there Lashiec

143
Offer still up?

144
Long live the firebug!

145
Firebug killer, are you kidding me? Sounds pretty cool any way, about time of a good tool for the Opera browser for web dev 8)

146
Hi Babis, yeah AceText is a really great program

To answer your questions in one answer, sorry I don't know :P but for sure you can email the program author and ask, and request new features, etc. and usually you'll get a quick response.

I've played with clipmate minimally, but yeah, clipmate does a whole lot of other stuff, AceText just deals with plain text.. Although some RTF wouldn't hurt :)) .. It gets a bit boring looking at just the plain text and feels like a mess.. maybe its just me.. :P

I don't have a son, so no.

It's up to the developer to make user friendly products (just like software [annoyances], bad practices, etc.).. If the captcha is done correctly, then it shouldn't be too much of a problem to pass.. Then again, they (some developers) try not to make it too easy, for obvious reasons.

Some captcha's won't make you think angry thoughts, and some will.. What can ya do?  :P

149
Nirsoft, Sysinternals, and a few others.. gotta love these tools ;) Power users must know about these tools!

150
I'm sure they're sick of you too! But hey, I too have some trouble with them every now and then (Captcha's).. And there to make it a better place right? Yeah but there are always haters in every thing!

Like you have people complaining about spam, people trying to combat spam, then once they make some steps forward other people bitch about the methods used and how hard they can be some times (Captcha's).. But yeah, there is always at least 2 sides, it's called balance, and it's needed to make the world go around, after all every thing can't be perfect now can it? lol /rant
