General Software Discussion / Re: Anyone using Puran Utilities 1.0.2 ??
« on: September 15, 2012, 12:08 AM »
IMO the defrag is world class but others not so useful.  YMMV.

Each Puran Utility can be downloaded individually- just Click its name below its icon here:

To get just the latest Puran Defrag:

Maybe one or more of Brana's Eudora plugins(Windows only, not for Mac) can help:

Mailbox Tools for Eudora v3.5:
http://www.drivehq.com/web/brana/mte.htm

Exporter for Eudora v2.6, Attacher Plugin v5.2 , Message Archiver 2.2:
http://www.drivehq.c...eb/brana/plugins.htm

or Fookes Software's two products:
Aid4Mail v2.5 -  http://www.aid4mail.com/
Mailbag Assistant v4.01 - http://www.fookes.com/mailbag/

Superboyac,

Rooster 4.1.0.4  feature:
To display referred website online content go to Settings/Newsboxes/Preview Pane -> check 'Display referred website'.  Hope it works better for you,

Next update (early August) -  you can switch above option on the fly/per newsbox (current settings will be shifted to defaults).

If off-topic I apologize for hijacking your thread on diet, but may I offer these two sites based on personal experiences of Konstantyn -developer of the now defunct Okna Desktop PIM:

Fiber menace - http://www.fibermena...menace/about_fm.html
Gutsense       - http://www.fibermena...tsense/about_gs.html

I found these two websites most valuable & counter to many notions I had on diet & eating habits etc- maybe they are useful to all of you as well.  (disclaimer - I have no relation to them but I do plan to buy their products).

What's the point of using these hardcore news software, when in the end, you still have to go to the actual site in the actual browser to read it?

Well superboyac, the author of Rooster - Brana told me Rooster V4 may come by late July:

"Do check Rooster home page by late July for Rooster series-4 a huge maintenance release. Not many new features though, but one of them addresses that "linked web site issue" ie. cases where full articles are not inside the feed but on another web site instead. We're testing it right now, I think it's quite elegant solution - you'll see."

so lets hope version 4 fixes this issue.

Instead of cloud backup or RAID in any form what you need is Drobo S with Beyond Raid:

Use /NOCANDY parameter when starting the installation program, or use a portable package, to avoid installation with OpenCandy.

Me too, iphigenie
various buttons on various webforms/(javascript?) don't work, but do in IE9. When I face this I just open in IE9 (tho' its a big waste of time, shrug).
