Oh no.  that doesn't seem to be it.

First trouble is that "With last recorded video do..." doesn't happen automatically after the video is finished recording, I thought it might.  And second trouble is that the SC is already running in the system tray, so it pops an alert instead of opening.  Not sure there would be any way around these issues without making it an option in the ESR program itself that would cause it to open SC and find the file automatically after each video is recorded.

Would it be worth the trouble to add that as an option to the ESR program "Options and Preferences"?

No worries if so... I think I am already getting the hang of finding the file manually in SC, and I now noticed that the ESR preview window has a nice little drop down list of recent files under "file".

Ah HA!

The trouble seemed to be that I was having it save the files into a sub-folder of my screen shots and it won't play them from there. I don't know if it is recording sound or not, but I have it on default, so I think it is recording stereo mix.

I have both the SC and the ESR starting with the startup of my computer, so that I can run them right from hotkeys at any moment that I need them.  So the preferred method I am looking for, I think, would be to figure out how to open the SC from the "With last recorded video do..." and display the video that just recorded. I am not familiar with what commands would be required for this, Would it be possible?

that is exactly what I was hoping for...

Updated to the new beta release.

Errr... but now I must be completely lost in the setup somehow.  I am not sure how to make the caster show up in the captor after recording, and it doesn't load the asf when I click on it if I manually open the captor and click on it.

I probably missed it somewhere in the instructions or documentation.   Hopefully you won't mind pointing me in the right direction?

Wow!  This is exactly the thing I have been hunting for!

I am not exactly sure how it "integrates" with Screenshot Captor (my greatest LOVED utility of all time), but I sure like that I can set my own combination hotkey and BOOM! I am recording.   ;D  No fuss, no muss, and with another hit of the chosen shortcut keys, I am done and can get on with whatever I need to do with the video file.

I definitely need to donate some more credits and send them to Mouser.  :-*

AVI seems to kick up an error for me, but the default works great and I am guessing I only need to get more codex installed for the rest.  SUPPER SWEET!

As for the integration, it sure would be cool if I chose the same ScreenShots folder as I use for the Screenshot Captor, and then it could open up the Captor window after recording a video and do the preview of the video right there with the nice folder display on the side.  Not seriously necessary, but would sure work nicely for someone who uses the Screenshot Captor a ton.

Maybe Something like below:

I luv you guys so very much!

I donate to very few things, but this is definitly one to pick the pocket.

DC is the BEST!

hummm.  so it does need the temporality program running.  I will try that out then.  Thanks!

100_0034.JPG
100_0035.JPG

they are on the desktop next to the WallpaperVolume.exe program file

It isn't changing the wallpaper or the volume.  As far as I can tell, it isn't doing anything but running in the tray.

8
Hummmmm... then I am not sure why it isn't doing anything.

9
Hummm.  It doesn't seem to be making any changes.

I would assume I am wrong that I don't see %A_Index% being set or changed?

10
Oh.  Sorry it took so long to get back on this.  I forgot to set the email notice on responses.

Skrommel, I am not really sure how this is to work... does it change the wallpaper on it's own, or does it need Temporality Screens running at the same time?

Nice!

I know the next series of books I will be reading!

::Blink::

You are kidding, right?

13
Oh.  That is what I was afraid of.  Do you know of a free-source C++ compiler?

Can Notepad++ compile C++?  I use it for all my ASP, PHP, but I know pretty much nothing of C++.

14
Errr...  ::Poke::

Anyone out there?

I think I would like to try the change myself, but don't know where to get the source code.

Beats using my electric shaver on the potatoes!

An Electric Shaver?!?

Okay... after wandering around many threads on volume control by time of day, I gave up on a full (at least that I could understand) solution... then...

I saw this Temporality Screens  ( I like the idea of changing my background each hour. )

So.... I am hoping that a little adjustment could be made to it to include functionality for setting the sound volume at the same time that the background is changed, and it would look in the file that you list the pictures in, and check to see if there is a list for the volume %, too.

Is this something that could be done.  Is it writen in ahk?  I could try to do it myself if you could provide the source code (though I am really a newbie to this).

Thanks, and Donation Coder ROCKS!

LOL... definitly see your point.

So I guess I will try to beat the system by buying a cheap laptop and taking really good care of it.

From what I read, laptops really arn't designed to handle heat like they should.  At very little load, my laptop stays cool, but with much any load and processes and drive use, it can really heat up.

Maybe I am just cynical, but I think the companies would rather make something that is going to run a little too hot and wear out faster so that they can sell you a new one sooner.

SWEEEEEET!!!!!
That is just what I was looking for!   ;D

Am I at all right in thinking that adding more sections like this would be able to do more colors?.....

Gui,3:Color,0000FF
Gui,3:+ToolWindow -Caption +LastFound +AlwaysOnTop
Gui,3:Show,% "X" minx " Y" miny " W1 H" maxy-miny
guiid3:=WinExist()
WinSet,Transparent,255,ahk_id %guiid2%  ; Transparency
WinSet,ExStyle,+0x20,ahk_id %guiid2%    ; Click-through

Or would I need to do more monkeying in the code for that to work right?

20
  :tellme:

Er... I write in html, asp, php, ado, javascript.......  All Web stuff.  ::blush::

I don't even think I have a compiler for this.
:Wizard:

Do you think you could save it for me as both a exe (to run all the time) and a scr (for screen saver use).   :-*
Or where would I get a compiler for that?  It is C++, right?

I´m still searching for a way to force the system drawing to a backbuffer so that I can write to the real screen the transformed one. Using a fullscreen OpenGL-Window would be possible but I´d prefer a "normal" way without 3D-contexts.

Wow.  Boy do I feel like a noob.

I guess as long as you know what you are talking about... LOL

Wow.  Maybe I should check out my credit card features.  Maybe I have points or something I don't know about.

23
I guess what I am looking for isn't really 'proper' either, since it could just as easily be a normal program.

In fact, it might be even better as a normal program.  That way it could run all the time even while you work.   Hummmm.... that may knock out the invertion idea.  I don't know if I could work while the whole screen changes.  (Though I would still be happy to try it.)

Does anyone have an idea on the color line?  Maybe that isn't as easy as I would think either.  I am not at all sure how you could make sure it would stay on top of everything while not interfering with what you are doing underneath.

24
Sounds very complicated to code, but I certainly would be interested to try it out if you did.

25
If the transitions were slow enough, it woudn't be too bad, however, is the top bar/menus left out of the changes?
