General Software Discussion / A better wireless network finder?
« on: July 11, 2007, 02:43 PM »
Hello again folks,

Does anyone know of a piece of Windows software to locate wireless networks? I'm looking for a replacement for both the built-in Windows module, and the software provided by the hardware vendor, something similar to Winc: http://www.download....476.html?tag=lst-0-5, which is now deadware, unfortunately.

Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

Jim

Hey Mouser,

Is there a way to set a delay --- say, 2 seconds --- before CH+S pastes a clip into a window? The clipboard extender I previously used did this, and having this ability meant the paste virtually ALWAYS ended up going where one needed it to go, because one had time to place an active cursor in the appropriate window or text box.

Currently, using CH+S, I find that more often than not, the paste fails, simply because I don't have time to place the cursor in the target box. Of course, even in these cases the clip in question is at least copied to the active clipboard, from which a standard left-click-menu paste can be done, but a brief delay in shooting the clips to the active window would be handier still, and very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim

Hi Mouser,

You said the other week that if I had any suggestions, post away, and after using TFLM for awhile, the following occurs to me:

Could you code a way to automatically "connect" created elements to other ones? That is, make it so that we can choose to have an item selected whenever certain others are selected.

As an example, my config tree I set up for customer service e-mail now contains five checkbox items for common customer issues, and four radio buttons for closings. Now, suppose whenever issue "x" is checked, I know that I will always want to use closing "z".

I find that, for me at least, the ability to have "z" automatically selected whenever "x" has been manually selected would be a significant enhancement.

If this is ALREADY possible, please advise, and accept my apology for having missed it.

Thanks,

Jim

Clipboard Help+Spell / Beta access violation
« on: June 26, 2006, 12:48 AM »
I'm getting an intermittent "EAccess violation" error when starting 1.10.06 beta. This alternates with a more standard looking access violation dialog that gives an address for the violation.
