UrlSnooper / To veblin

Thanks Veblin. I' try that out later this day.

And yes, I wasnt using HTML. NONE at all. But yes, I did used URLs with http:// but nothing more than that.

And I was saying the place has become stagnant, because most of the posts didnt bear any replies. This happens to any forums once in a month or so, so far as I know.

UrlSnooper / URLSnooper doesnt let me log onto the net.
« on: April 16, 2005, 09:09 PM »
 :-[

URsnooper 2 didnt work for me, so I downloaded URLsnooper 1 an it worked for me! I managed to get a few streams, then i hung up, I restarte the PC, but it wont log onto the net, and terminated the connectiuoin giving error 718.

The connection is dialup and the WinPcap driver used is 3.0 beta

I uninstalled URLsnooper and voila! I could log onto the net again!

The Streaming Media Recording Forum has become stagnant, and strangely, my posts do net appear on the site. Instead of my post, "HTML not allowed" or some similar messages are poste, even if I dont use HTML in my post. In short, that forum can help me temporarily.

Presently I'm using UCF's URL Fetcher to get some real media. However, I'm in need of the following streams in 300KBPs asf format (whose URLs would be very easy to rip) to keep me busy downloading. It'd be good if you help me out with this instead of the urlsnooper problem, coz even with urlsnooper, i was to download only these streams: -

http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2654907 (Eminem's lipsycnhing)

http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2642927 (Breaking The Habit)

http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2477664 (Numb)

http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2409705 (would youmin if i aske for Madonna's catwalk?)

But the URL Fetcher that is bundled with Real7ime ver 1.1 does not work with the latest RealPlayer release, ver 10 -- presumably because the Real plugin upon which URL Fetcher relies has been renamed or otherwise changed. [Using the "Locate Path" button in URL Fetcher does NOT successfully locate the needed plugin when RealPlayer 10 is installed].  If anyone knows of a workaround that will allow URL Fetcher to work with RealPlayer 10, or if there is any news about a new release of Real7ime and URL Fetcher then please post a reply here.  Thanks!

Comaprison of URL fetcher with URL snooper is just not possible. The reason - URL snooper sniffs each and every uRLK, while URL fetcher relies on the real media player to determine what media the real player is playing.

[B}And yes, it works fine on my real media 10 gold (not registered).[/B]

here, "the forums" mean the Stream Recorder forums at http://p084.ezboard....m/fstreemeboxvcrfrm4.

Strix's url finder means: -

http://www.strix.org...o/launch_streams.php

Strix's advert remover means:-

http://www.strix.org...k/misc/launch.yahoo/

UrlSnooper / Help with launch
« on: April 12, 2005, 02:25 PM »
Hi. I have now been into the forums, but for some reason, my posts dont appear properly, and two of my posts were deleted. So, I'm just pasting one of the posts here in the quote below. If you' like to bother...

I have tried to dl a stream (Backstreet Boys - The One) from the following address : -

http://music.yahoo.c...rectURL=/musicvideos

Here is the problem:

--> URL snooper doesn't work properly on my diualup connection. It does load, and dls the page, but all it sniffs is a js file and not the wmv/asf (even when its actually playing)

--> Strix's url finder gives the links improperly. It recognizes the vid as "Backstreet Boys - The One", but the link that it provides is for some other vid.

--> strix's advert remover service doesnt work properly. The asx files that it generates are misleading, and point to non-existent wmvs

--> the view-source: protocol  method doesnt work, because there is not a single reference to the asx file in the source.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I'd request you to post here a general method to get urls for launch streams.

Thanks, an I've been trying at ezboards but for some reason i am unable to register there.

Thanks especially for the "load url snooper only when the vid is actually playing" part. Thanks again.

And yes, i could understand each an every word you typed there except the weirdness about "mms (http format)". I do know that http & mms are two different protocols. Whenever you encouter a guy called "The Winster" on any forum, you know that that person has got some elementary knowledge on everything that the forum is about.

But what touched me is your humility with "if you couldnt understand..." thingy. No admins are so much friendly. best of luck...

UrlSnooper / Cant use URL snooper
« on: April 12, 2005, 04:19 AM »
Hi!

I have WinXP home edition, with a 56K net connection.

I just dl the software "URL Snooper" and pasted in some URLs with embedded media for sniffing: -

http://www.ifilm.com...mp;mediaSize=compact

The parent url of the above link is: -

http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2656367

and some similar links from the same site.

I couldnt get any multimedia links from the page, though it has a vid.

Please help out and reply if its only me with the error or if its the ite that has got some security.
