Excellent game+story.

The game is indeed great, but I wouldn't go as far as call the gameplay great. It is entirely mediocre, but I'd still recommend it for its out of left field mindfuckery.

In the same spirit as the Latest GOG Giveaway thread, here's one dedicated to whatever game featured on Steam is free (to keep) if you claim it within the promotional window.

I'll start it off with what is being called a Weekend Giveaway for Crusader Kings II. Once you've claimed it, don't forget to nab the two DLCs the game has listed for free. One of them will automatically be claimed to your account. The other one you will need to manually claim.

Enjoy!

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Yet Another Zombie Defense are both free for a limited time.

And if you like YAZD, there's an HD remaster which is currently 75% off ($0.99) for a few days.

I just found out that Stories: The Path of Destinies is free this weekend (meaning it probably ends within 24 hours or so).

wraith808 · « **Reply #33 on:** May 19, 2018, 02:59 PM »

Forgot to post this, so more limited time on the redemption.

Galactic Civilizations II is available for about 2 more hours (it's currently 11AM EST on 2018-05-19). Another one I recommend.

Deozaan · « **Reply #34 on:** May 19, 2018, 09:11 PM »

Thanks! I managed to nab it in the last 10 minutes (which was a few hours ago).

Xenonauts is pretty good, I definitely recommend it. Even if I haven't played it as much as I should.

Xenonauts is currently being given away as part of GOG's summer sale.

They're also hinting strongly that there's more to come:

Get Xenonauts FREE for keeps! Saving the world ain't simple, Xenonauts recaptures the original X-COM: UFO Defense gameplay for all its depth and complexity – a highly recommended play for curious fans of the X-COM reboots and series purists alike.

The Xenonauts giveaway lasts 48 hours until June 6, 1 PM UTC. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for more updates – we're not saying more giveaways are coming, but we're definitely not saying they aren't.

And they've added a dozen or so games to GOG Connect.
