Help with a streaming link
« on: May 21, 2017, 07:11 AM »
Hi,
I got several similar links from an online video like this:
http://vdn1.koopass.com/ky/sy/2016/yy/2017kych-zw-1.mp4/1096/2017kych-zw-1.mp4tipsid90.ts?userId=0&ctype=1002001&code=deafcd16-370c-4a39-bf64-328bf72c1bde&playerVersion=1.0.1&videoType=0&online=1

I don't know what is the video format and how to download it. Is there any tool or protocol solutions available ? Any information or suggestion will be appreciated.

Welcome at DC, BackRoad

The filetype is ts, short for "Transport Streaming", so they are not supposed to be downloaded one by one, but to be streamed. Many streams will merge and become a river, a video.

We probably need more informations if we are to help you any further.

What the difference between Streaming Videos and Regular Videos?

Downloading is when you take a file, whether that be a video, music, or some other data, and you copy it from the Internet to your computer or phone. Downloading a file makes a copy of that file on whatever device you are using.

On the other hand, streaming is when your device receives data constantly.
Thus, if you are going to download Streaming Content, for example a video, you will download as much as you watched. If you want to download the whole thing, you need to wait until it fully plays on your browser.

Here is the example for you:

Let's say videos is 20 minutes long. You need to start playing it and wait until it fully pre-loads in your browser. Sometimes you need to watch it till the end. You can't just click to the end of the video.

If you wait till 15 minutes and then decide to download, you will get only first 15minutes of the video.

Yes, to download streaming content is less convenient, but there nothing you can do. We hope for your understanding. Please do not rate us bad for this reason!

^ meaning, you need to watch / record (record, not just download) the full video, there is no easy trick.
