Is it known how much I need to add for postage?

kyrathaba · « **Reply #51 on:** August 13, 2013, 01:52 AM »

Not precisely. About $5 is covering media shipping in the US. Might be a bit more to ship to Canada. Anyone who overpays I can PayPal back the difference, or make it up to them in DonationCredits.

I am concerned about underpaying. $1 or $2 overpaying is fine.

kyrathaba · « **Reply #53 on:** August 13, 2013, 02:09 AM »

Two others have paid $23.00 in total, which I think will be too much.

Also, I would really appreciate it if you guys who have ordered books would post your honest review, after reading it, to Smashwords, Goodreads, and Amazon. Thanks

Thanks and will do (pic and review). Postage amount was fine?

kyrathaba · « **Reply #61 on:** August 14, 2013, 08:04 PM »

Postage to Canada was $11.95 USD. We're good.

kyrathaba · « **Reply #62 on:** August 14, 2013, 08:05 PM »

I also had to fill out a customs form for each of the two books that shipped to Canada. Geesh.

I released the ebook first on Smashwords, on July 21st. So, it's been almost one month, and here's my profits for that ~4 week period:

For the record, I've sold zip on Lulu, payhip, Scribd. Still awaiting quarterly earnings to be reported back to Smashwords from KoboBooks, Diesel ebookstore, Page Foundry, Baker & Taylor Blio, LibraryDirect, and Baker & Taylor Axis 360, so I may have made a few sales in those channels that I don't yet know about.

I now have nine outstanding "promised reviews" -- mostly from other indie authors with whom I've traded free ebook copies. I really need two or three good reviews on Smashwords. I did notice that in the past five days, my sample downloads (people downloading 50% of the book as a sample, for free) jumped from from 20 to 36, so that's good. Stopped at my local regional library yesterday, and they're probably going to buy a copy to loan to library cardholders. Those who check the book out from the library will learn, in the back of the book, how to get their own copy, ebook and/or paperback, and my various URLs. So that couldn't hurt.

Anyone else besides 40hz received their paperback by post, yet?

kyrathaba · « **Reply #71 on:** August 20, 2013, 04:47 PM »

I'd really appreciate it if everyone would post a review on Smashwords after reading the novel. To do so, you have be a member of Smashwords and have downloaded my ebook from their site 48 hours or more previous to your posted review. I will provide a free-book coupon code for anyone willing to do this. Besides, if you've bought a paperback, you deserve the ebook free anyway.

I should receive six paperbacks about Thursday 22nd or Friday 23rd.

* one of superboyac
* one for Perry Mowbray
* one for local library
* one apiece for two fellow church members
* one for a neighbor of my parents

4wd, do you want an autographed copy?
