I have 7 more local orders for the book. Combined with the six on this site, that's 13 (and I'm not even a Math major). Perhaps we should order soon. Anyone else want in?

If you are hosting the book on amazon then get your book enrolled to KDP select borrow program. You can get review for your book by keeping the book free for some period. Also there are some people on fiverrr.com who promote your gig to review sites. I hope that helps boost some sales.

kyrathaba · « **Reply #28 on:** August 08, 2013, 01:47 PM »

Thanks mahesh2k. I am familiar with KDP Select, but not particularly a fan of it. It restricts access, giving Amazon sole selling rights for your ebook for 90 days. I don't like that kind of grip on my work by a company that already has a stranglehold on the ebook market. In fact, I think the more competition they receive, the better for authors and buyers. That's why I offer multiple purchase sites for my novel.

I know your suggestion was well-intended, so please don't take offense. I appreciate your input

mahesh2k · « **Reply #29 on:** August 08, 2013, 06:22 PM »

No problem. I agree on that restriction point.

Five days remain before I place another order with CreateSpace. Currently, we have 6 people on the site who are requesting an autographed copy, and locally I have pre-sold 7 paperbacks from my next shipment. I'll update you on this as we draw toward August 13th.

wraith808 · « **Reply #31 on:** August 08, 2013, 06:48 PM »

How is createspace? I had a free order from them for 5 books for completing NaNoWriMo, but I let the deadline go by because I didn't have time to edit before then, so I was wondering...

Another service that You might want to look into is publification.com. I signed up for it, but I haven't used it, so I can't really tell you much positive or negative other than that they let you publish from your sources directly to Amazon, iBookstore, and Nook, in addition to selling directly from the site through their interface.

One last one is NookPress.

Thanks for those resources, wraith. I was quite pleased with the paperbacks. The front-cover, spine, and back-cover are glossy and don't feel "cheap". The paper good stock. The print quality is quite good. They used 12-pt Arial, as I did in the PDF we sent them. I'm going to look up and bookmark those other printers you mentioned.

The binding seems secure. No loose sheathes. Overall, I'm quite pleased. Perry's cover art looks glossy and fantastic. The admin at eBookOnFire bragged on the cover when we uploaded the book there.

Due to multiple requests here locally in my community for autographed copies, I've gone ahead and placed an order for 15 more paperbacks. The six of you who have ordered will get your autographed copy out of those fifteen books.

Current DCers ordering:

mouser
rgdot
superboyac
40hz
cranioscopical
hamradio

A couple of you have already supplied me with a shipping address. The others may want to in the next few days. If there are others who want an autographed copy, we can start another list.

40hz · « **Reply #36 on:** August 09, 2013, 02:51 AM »

This may sound stupid, but how do I remit the payment? Feel free to PM me if you like.

kyrathaba · « **Reply #37 on:** August 09, 2013, 03:28 AM »

My preference is to be PayPal-ed using my mobile phone #, which is tied to my PayPal account. If you're comfortable with that. If needed, I can set up a page on DC with a payment form and button. Just let me know.

I'm good with whatever works best for you and lets you keep the biggest percentage.

I can even send you a check or money order by snail mail. That will only set you back whatever your bank charges for a paper deposit. (My bank doesn't charge deposit fees for personal checking. YMMV.) PM a mailing address if you'd rather me do that.
