For the case of already used names...half-jokingly...prefix already used name with DC, mouser, Cody, etc.

Some great name ideas here.. I'm partial to the short ones like QuickCast,EasyCaster,EasyCast, etc. but those have all been used already by other software products, so I think it's going to need something more unique..

Something with "cast" in the name would be a good idea, and something with simple/easy in the name would be good too.

What do you think about "Simple Screencaster"?

In my view, this matches with Mouser's original description.
Something which

do not require deep knowledge of the job.
is quick and small.
has no fancy or complicated options.

That reason also occurred to me for not using "Simple" in the name.

The awful truth is that if you want easy and simple screencast recording and sharing, there are already some great options (Jing, BB Flashback Express, CamStudio, etc.), so I'm really not sure what niche this tool serves.. But maybe it will find one before all is said and done..

By the way, you shouldn't bother to try to find it because i will be updating it more and providing necessary instructions on how to use it.. but clever folks should probably be able to find a download for the beta right now.

Sorry I didn't mean it could be found in a few seconds, it would take some detective work and thinking. There is no link anywhere for it, and there is nothing in this thread to tell you how to find it.. You have to think outside of thread

But honestly don't waste your time, I will be sharing links to official new beta later tonight. I just thought I would give those of you who were bored and wanted a little detective adventure something to do..

ah yes, thanks for reminding me -- that was the main point of this after all.

the one thing this tool makes it very easy to now do is record a screencast and then quickly extract frames from it as individual images.
