Not sure what you need it for, but I posted an article on cheaply buying art for commercial use:

http://cynic.me/2011/04/10/purchasing-artwork-for-commercial-use-cheaply/

It mentions a few places and where you can get the same art for much cheaper.

search for free fonts on dc link
(I thought there was more threads than that - but especially the stuff recommended by Smashing magazine is good.)

Are you ready for this?
Really? Good!

From Robin Good at MasterNewMedia.org's "Where to Find Free Images and Visuals for My Blog" Mini-guide:

Where to find free images for your website or blog may be a challenging task if you don't know where to look. And even if you find such images, a million questions come to mind: are the images copyrighted? May I use them on a product I want to sell? Do I need to credit the photographer? In this MasterNewMedia guide I would like to help you by sharing a) some recommendations for all independent web publishers out there and b) a list of the best free and paid image libraries available on the Internet.

Too many links to post, just go here:

From a Worth1000 forum post that doesn't exist anymore, many of which might be dead or duplicated on Robin's page:
