Now all I need is $18!

I'll definitely be getting this, even though I'm short on cash. It's so rare we see decent 2D games nowadays, and I've always loved Worms... except the 3D versions, that never really worked out for me. Definitely worth supporting this game!

long time dc member Wordzilla was a big fan of worms -- i hope we can get him to play with us online

I'd just like to point out that Hedgewars is free and open source (GPL-v2) and actively developed. And it's available right now.

EDIT: And I bet Worms Reloaded doesn't have a portal gun!

Yeah, it's the best worms-clone I've ever played. And I don't know for sure, but I think the hats thing was in Hedgewars first and Worms Reloaded copied that.

And back to Worms Reloaded: Anyone want to go in on the 4-pack together? That will make it $15 each person.

I will. As an aside, I own Worms for the Sega Saturn, too.

How did you want to do this, Deo? I can send you fifteen DC credits and, when we have two more pony up, you can buy the four-license pack and gift the copies to us. Is that what you had in mind?

Yeah, something like that. Basically we need to get all the money to someone and then once we've done that the person with all the money makes the purchase and gifts the other 3 to the appropriate people.

If that someone is going to be me then I can take the money via PayPal or DonationCredits.

y0himba · « **Reply #10 on:** August 14, 2010, 01:20 PM »

I am donating $20 DC credits. Can I have a gift copy? If you get enough money or DC credits, you could buy a few packs and give them out. We can all play! Join the DC Steam group folks.

I kicked in twenty as well.

Awesome! Thanks guys! We just need one more person and we can get the 4-pack.

I think, though, that once I buy the 4-pack it will have to be someone else who collects the money and makes the purchase, since IIRC you have to purchase one of the copies for yourself, and if I already own it then I can't do that again.

skwire · « **Reply #13 on:** August 14, 2010, 04:41 PM »

Send the credits to me and I'll take care of it.

You won't be able to either because you'll already own the game when I gift it to you.

Josh · « **Reply #15 on:** August 14, 2010, 05:13 PM »

Has anyone else confirmed this? If not, I will join in! Who are we sending credits to?

Deozaan · « **Reply #16 on:** August 14, 2010, 05:24 PM »

Maybe I've been unclear. What I'm saying is that you can only ever buy a 4-pack once, because you are required to buy it for yourself. So if you already own the game (from buying the 4-pack or getting a copy gifted to you) then you can't buy a 4-pack because Steam doesn't let you buy games for yourself if you already own them. So all I'm saying is that once the four of us (myself, Swkire, y0himba, and Josh) get this 4-pack, none of us will be able to buy another Worms Reloaded 4-pack. But if another group of 4 people want to go in on the 4-pack, they can decide who to get the money to and have that person buy the game and gift the extra copies to the rest.

The credits have been going to me. If you're in, send the credits my way and I can probably take care of it today.

Do you have paypal? I would like to send this directly to you. PM me your info

Josh · « **Reply #18 on:** August 14, 2010, 07:07 PM »

Money sent! One more week and we can get our worm on!

Deozaan · « **Reply #19 on:** August 15, 2010, 12:13 AM »

Alrighty. I've purchased the 4-pack and gifted the extra three games out to you Skwire, y0himba, and Josh.

Enjoy!

If anybody else wants to get in on a 4-pack, you'll just need to organize who collects the money for it.

mouser · « **Reply #20 on:** August 15, 2010, 01:29 AM »

im happy to buy the next 4 pack; next 3 people can send me $15 in donationcredits each.

Deozaan · « **Reply #21 on:** August 15, 2010, 04:20 PM »

Here's an HD image (1920x1080) of the 6 hats and 10 forts you get as a pre-purchase bonus. Also, you get access to the game 24 hours early so August 25th.

Yes I think it does. I think it counts for anyone who buys/gets the game before its official launch date.

Mouser.. sending 15 your way.
