one question i have though is why we would ever use the non +quick version? it doesnt do live resutls without +quick or +reverse, so is it any different than the define alias?

non quick gets to the dictionary: basically the same as "define" but there could be more dictionaries.

Also the list is dynamic, the dictionary wont be there unless the word is used.

I'll raise you one question: what's the way to switch to small icons. Define does but this plugin does not?? I've got the appropriate tickbox ticked??

And you get direct feedback if what you've typed actually exists (typos etc.).

I'm afraid that's a question I have to answer. As far as I know it's up to plugin to switch to small icon mode. At least that is what I do for my other plugins. I did not implement this for FarrWebMetaSearch yet. And I'd love to remove it from my other plugins as well! If only mouser would move this up a bit on his FARR todo list

thats up to the plugin setting showallmode, which will make farr switch to small icons if need be to show more results.

EDIT: yes ok the other thing is i could add an easier way to switch to show all.. i will do that too.

Oh, there's one thing I'd like to be able to do that I can't. For the +quick option the results are returned without a path as the url is not part of that part of the page. What I'd like to be able to do, at least what makes sense to me, is to add the path to the original search that produced the page. Could we get that added?

One more little thing...

the +switch must appear after the searchname, is it possible to allow it to appear anywhere in the input string (like FARR)?

Perry, I noticed in your screen shot here that you managed to change the colour of some FARR output. It seems that <font color=red>$5</font> is doing the trick. It would be interesting to know where you learned that this is possible? I've actually been asking for this once, but the responses I got didn't indicate that this was already implemented.

Actually I noticed it when my RegEx grabbed the definition and the example from onelook. They make their example Italic.

I thought colour would be nicer

The FARR window is HTML, isn't it??? Seems to act like it... I wonder if you could put other links in there as well?? (must try that to see if it works

It does format them like links, but it's not possible to follow them.

The plugin is implemented in C++ using Microsoft's TR1 extension, i.e. I'm using the TR1 regex functionality. The regex variant used is ECMAScript.
