QuoteIf you find that funny ... ?
Personally I found that holocaust "joke" pretty offensive.
On a thread marked NSFW, I'm hesitant to remove it.
While I personally did not find it to be offensive...I do agree that it was far to close to the razor's edge. Just because the thread is marked NSFW doesn't mean that folks are cleared for takeoff to go sky-shotting over the top.
So granted while some of us do push the language barrier a bit at times. A modicum of restraint is to be reasonably expected...because this is not 4Chan.

Still, when i see such posts, like the political posts, i just think ah, maybe that's one of the reasons we seem to have less and less new people joining our family here..
Maybe I'm being overly sensitive -- I'm just more and more feeling like we have to do something to improve this place, and seeing posts like this doesn't make me feel good. Perhaps if I felt like we were a thriving community it would just be a tiny drop in the water. But I feel like we are treading water and things like this start to feel like we loading up our own pockets with stones.
I should say that ArizonaHot has posted tons of interesting inoffensive posts, so I know know offense was meant by this one, and I don't mean to single any one out. Like I said, in the whole scheme of things, this isn't a big deal -- it's just coming at a time when i'm spending a lot of time worrying about how to make this site a more welcoming site for new people..
There's already a humor board in the basement.

The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, subsequently the Armand Auclerc Weston State Hospital, was a Kirkbride[3] psychiatric hospital that operated from 1864 until 1994 by the government of the U.S. state of West Virginia, in the city of Weston. Built by architect Richard Andrews, it was constructed from 1858- 1881. Originally designed to hold 250 people, it became overcrowded in the 1950s with 2,400 patients. It was forcibly closed in 1994 due to changes in treatments of patients. The first to be committed was a female housekeeper. The hospital was bought by Joe Jordan in 2007, and partly opened to tours and other money raising events for its restoration.[4] The hospital's main building is one of the largest hand-cut stone masonry buildings in the United States, and, as Weston Hospital Main Building, was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1990.Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum - Wikipedia
An artwork that geeks would willingly deface:

I would proudly hang that on my living room wall, although it would probably go better with the black & white optical illusion style decor of my daughter's room.
I was thinking that the funny part wasn't the animation, but the fact that there was a bench in front of it so people could sit and admire...
