My wife just got a call from a telemarketer who told her about a website (http://www.shopcv.com/) saying it offered deals similar to Costco or Sam's Club but with a lifetime membership fee instead of an annual fee.
The telemarketer then asked for a credit card number for a trial period. I checked out the website and tried to find a review about it to see whether or not it was a scam. All I found was this: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/137/ripoff0137315.htm
Considering the business has (supposedly) been around since 2000, and I only see two negative things about it makes me wonder if it isn't as much as a scam as it looks like. Then again, it's been around since 2000 and the only thing I can find on it is other people in other forums asking the same question I am here.
Is it a scam or is it legitimate? Anyone have any good detective skills or know from personal experience about this site?
