Preview of mask to come

I try to make some mask during the week in my spare time.
It's not finishing yet (and will never)
I try to post the collection here on sunday.


It's fun to play around, and you could do that on your own, too.
Just open your grafic program (i used PhotoFiltre free)
and create a new *gif in any size you want (e.g. 200x200 pix) with white back ground.
Than use black color to colorize an region you wanna make lucent
or use a grey color to bleach the picture.
Play with mask size and different colors.

Also i will integrate into the collection an link to About.com
They have 11 sides with each 12 mask, but only for personal use
so i can't  integrate those mask into the collection on my self, you must do that on your own.

Also on the PhotoFiltre download side you will find some packege with mask (Masks for the PhotoMasque module)

remember there are masks and also picture frames.
picture frames can have transparent areas where the image shows through and then elsewhere they can be anything.
masks are just gray and indicate where there should be backround and no image.

you can also combine both in one thing, by making like
frame.png and frame.png.mask
and putting it in the fames directory.

i don't have an example of it yet but it would be perfect for those "tear" or "ragged edge" effects you have shown.

But while frames work ATM only inside a picture, i played more with masks

The Frame is e.g. "xyz.png" and
the coressponting Mask would be than "xyz.png.mask" ?
and puting both in the Frames folder, hmmm didn't work ?   (2.00.06)

Hmm, got an Access violetion too during croping.
Snaping still works.

OK, i see there are two "layers" if i use this combination
and i must "clear Frame" AND "clear Mask" to get original pic.
But the mask lay in front of the pic and "blur" the pic with the white color of the mask
(and i see no tears, maybe an issue of frame/mask size ?)

Restart of SC no solve.
I delete the INI, no solve.
I delete the Screenshots folder (5 MB in 46 files), (SC create no new one) and Access Violation is gone
I copy all shots back in the Screenshots folder and SC works again with all 46 files.

Ah, i tested this with two completly different pictures for frame and mask 

What is this thing good for?
i understand it's a frame for a mask <?>    (the frame following the contur of the mask)

the sample frame+mask combo shows the basic purpose of it - it allows you to make certain regions of the image see-through to the background.

with just a picture frame, you cannot create transparent areas of the image, because all transparency in the picture frame image shows through to the original picture.

Can i please have a step-by-step HowTo creacte such ragged edge frames/masks?
How can i make the x.pgn with what feature and attributes?
How make the x.pgn.mask?

(BTW: while playing around with wrong created ragged masks , i still got the access violation )
