I found this site mentioned here at DC (I think) a couple of days ago and looked over the freeware it had listed for the past week and none of it interested me so I promptly forgot about the site. Today's isn't useful for me, but I've just subscribed to the newsletter so I can be aware of what's going on at that site now. Just in case.

I check that site regularly.  One example of the good taste that the creators have:

I got a couple of things from there, but its very unclear what you can do if you take a freebie and then have to reinstall it later, not all of the programs are freeware but shreware or commercial ones with some sort of limitation on them, like no support or upgrades that kind of thing.  I gave up checking after a while except to browse thru their freeware library if im after something specific.  So overall not for me but some may find it really good.

Cough, cough, nudge, nudge, wink, wink... er, there are ways around this...
