The only difference is the 1 after attachthumb=, so that the first image attached will appear there.

You're right, except for thumb part. I realize you cannot link to a thumb, it has to be the full size image.

actually the difference between attachthumb=# and attachthumb=1 is non-existent in this case, as the # version just attaches the images in order, so with only one image there is no difference.

the reason that its not following the link is simply because when you do an attachthumb, a click enlarges the image, so the link is disabled.  i wonder if i should change this behaviot?

nyway, instead of attachthumb use attach, that will solve your problem.

If you have a bunch of images in a post
AND
you want to change/update some of them,
do you have to renumber all images (attachthumb=1  etc) so that the last attached image shows as say number 4 out of 9

comprendez? (wouldn't blame ye if ye don't)

Yes, i'm afraid so, if you remove an image from the middle youll have to renumber.
(alternative is to remove all and re-add all in proper order).

maybe show the screenshot in a new post, then link somehow to that image so it shows in the first post ??
