HOT!

Short for "Mouser Monitor"

That might just be the best thing I've ever seen.*

*(I'm sure I said that about something last week, but this is probably better.)

Veign · « **Reply #10 on:** October 18, 2006, 10:51 PM »

Uh oh - do I see an order of protection in mousers future? Do the words "I'm your biggest fan" mean anything to you?

allen · « **Reply #11 on:** October 19, 2006, 12:58 AM »

At risk of making it more useful, what if you made it possible to add a list of friends to it, monitoring all my buddies via it. Maybe even list all online users

Veign · « **Reply #12 on:** October 19, 2006, 01:58 AM »

What about any user on any SMF powered forum?

Good idea Allen.

Yeah allen, that (DCMon) would be so cool! Great idea!

We shall make it more like an IM client rather than a monitor tool, and also we may code the program to:
1. Display all online users
2. Send mouser an email when "Most Online" exceeds 200 to cheer him up
3. Add buddies to "Watch List", and auto-notifies when their status/current activity changes
4. Mouse-over to display profile info and current activity of each online id on the forum.
5. Right-click to "donate to this member", "send this member a private message", etc.
6. Auto-logon DC forum when system starts
7. Check out the latest DC Newsletter
...
......
lots of stuff to add into it! could be fun!

don't forget to add the DC forums search engine.. btw, great idea.

I love the icon...and how it flips when he's not online.

I think mouser got really paranoid and cut his ethernet cable. I haven't seen him online for most of the day since this post! He's probably got his tinfoil cap on right now.

See that mouser? I can still read your thoughts! That cap does nothing but make you look silly and provides an excellent lightning rod!

i'm in cody's space ship, which blocks all radiation waves.

allen · « **Reply #21 on:** October 20, 2006, 01:03 AM »

Isn't it nuclear powered? All we have to do is get a sanction or two in place, cut off your fuel supply then no more spaceship -- and hello online indicator!

wreckedcarzz · « **Reply #22 on:** October 28, 2006, 08:43 PM »

Would there be a way to have a set status update time interval instead of every 2 minutes or so?
It kinda gets annoying saying he is offline and then online about a second or so after.
