Why I Prefer Procedural/Relational Over OOP
« on: September 22, 2006, 01:45 AM »
Quote
Although most of my articles focuses on the down-sides of OOP, due to popular request (or popular revolt, depending on your point of view) I will describe here why I prefer the procedural/relational paradigm over OOP, focusing more on the up-sides of procedural-relational instead. This is a forest- level philosophical summary and does not get into specific examples. See the links scattered about below for more specifics.

Hey thanks, this looks like a good read. Ever since I saw Spore and heard it was procedural I thought that I wanted to program procedurally. :-)

Hmm, I couldn't understand a word he was saying.
Interviewer: Is there anything you don't like?
Bjarne Stroustrup: Marketing hype as a substitute for technical argument. Thoughtless adherence to dogma. Pride in ignorance.
