TheBat! Questions
« on: September 19, 2006, 08:26 AM »
Hi guys,

I like to know if updating TheBat by installing over previous version will cause any problems?
Had bad experience with other software although their faqs recommend it. So I like some views from long term users of TheBat.

And do you guys know their version release patterns? Eg: Releasing a major version every 6 months or per year?
Thanks in advance.

you can install over old version, i always do.
thebat has a history of frequent beta updates, and occasionally buggy updates.
in general i wait a week or so between updates before installing beta versions.

as far as major updates, they went from v2 to v3 very rapidly, which upset a lot of users, but they've been on v3 for quite a while now.

needless to say, remember to exit the program from the tray before you run the update.
