My Android Apps for NANY 2017 -- All in One Place
« on: January 01, 2017, 04:06 PM »
Just thought I'd post this link to the Google Play Store listing for all 6 of my NANY 2017 Android Apps (plus 2 from last year):

https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=DonationCoder.com&hl=en

They are all free now.

If you like them, I'd appreciate it if you'd take the time to rate them and give them a review!

ps. Separate threads for each program can be found here in the NANY 2017 section.

Whoever was nice enough to rate all my apps as 5 stars -- Google removed all of the ratings and considered them "fake".
I guess it pays to remember not to rate apps just to be nice, you better be a real user.  :-\

Google can see that an app is "installed", if it removes ratings for anyone marked as installed it is silly and overdoing it but then Google has a history of lying,  don't get me restarted on my Adsense story from way back  :-\

Are the .APK files available here on DC?  Us Kindle users are unable to use Google Play.

How do they rate "Active" vs "Total" installs?

I believe Total = ThoseWhoCurrentlyHaveItInstalled (Active) + ThoseWhoHaveInstalledThenUnistalled
Or something similar.

That would make sense, because "My apps & games" has two columns, one for (currently) "Installed," the other for "All."  I was a bit concerned they might be monitoring actual usage.

I have a very solid foundation for building android apps now, ESPECIALLY ones with complicated collections of items.

I'd love to find some contract work to develop android apps -- so if anyone wants to hire me to create a serious android app for their business, don't hesitate to drop me a line.

@Mouser,

Have installed your Checklist app on an Nexus 2013.
Problem. If i add "car 3" it wipes away one of the 2 you have setup by default.

Btw, wish there was an Amazon version of this app.

nothing should ever be wiped away/deleted from adding new ones.. its possible though that adding an item creates a new tab and so you arent seeing the others?
