I have a few to add:

http://www.addall.com/ - THE best place to shop for books, music, movies, etc. They just query many different sites and collate the data to figure out your best price...period.

You also seemed to have forgotten Gizmo's site - http://www.techsupportalert.com/

addall looks fantastic. that deserves a post of its own steel, make one with a pic and i'll blog it.
regarding gizmo's site, well if that's not on the link page i better add it ASAP.

Random thoughts:
- I think the 'Software Used on This Site' should have a page all to its self so you can better highlight the great software that helps drive DC. I know I use SMF because of DC.
- Isn't AnalogX pretty much a dead site?
- How about my freeware or some other online tools that are under the main site.
- Best Software Search site: http://Download.com or http://Softpedia.com
- Best Tech Support try http://ask-leo.com/
- Not sure where this would go http://www.namepros.com/ but its a great source for domain name information, buying, selling, trading.

Good call, why didn't I think of that?

EDIT - Here is the link to the post: AddAll

Another suggestion is to fix the URL

This is its current page:
http://www.donationcoder.com/Links

I remembered that and typed this in:
http://www.donationcoder.com/links/

Which came up 404 (Linux server I assume). Its more natural to type all in lower case URLs so you may want to make sure the lowercase version of the URL works too.

In addition to addall, I like fetchbook:
http://www.fetchbook.info/

And Zoho is turning out some great programs like Zoho Notebook in addition to their other offerings:
http://www.zoho.com/
some people like Zoho Notebook better than Google Notebook.

Media Convert , while an online converter, will convert some less known files:
http://www.media-convert.com/

I've found some answers to some fairly obscure technical questions here:
http://techrepublic.com.com/

This site is a good resource for rootkit information:
http://antirootkit.com/

This site has absolutely nothing to do with technology per se but its a great site anyway:
Kevin Kelly Cool Tools
http://www.kk.org/cooltools/

Two other favorites:

Of Zen and Computing
http://www.ofzenandcomputing.com/

Freeware Genius:
http://www.freewaregenius.com/

Two more that might be helpful:

Portable Apps:
http://portableapps.com/
Great list of apps you can carry around with you. Uses Open source, free.

I don't know if this blog fits in here, or not, but I find the most interesting things on it.
Really a great resource about a number of things.
Its called etc.

a few more, then I'll retreat to my usual haunts......

Process Library
http://www.processlibrary.com/

Bleeping Computer Startup Programs Database:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/

exelib
http://exelib.com/

yep, a theme there, identifying what's running........

I agree with Veign about the (easy) URL and I also have a suggestion:

How about including a link to the page in the top menu, or if you think that it will be too cluttered, maybe it can be in the home page, on the left menu. Yesterday I've spent ages to locate this page.

wordzilla has been trying to get at me to make a site map -- we really need one.

if it's not already in, i'd like to suggest "Giveaway of the day" - http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/

If I may, I would suggest also the couple of links I have in my sign!

You also seemed to have forgotten Gizmo's site - http://www.techsupportalert.com/

as a newsletter as well ?

Just had a look, great (links) page

re the hardware section
-
Steves Digicams is great site -
Another one I like a lot is Imaging Resource
http://www.imaging-resource.com/
If I was seriously researching cameras I would check out both $:-\$

Would you consider adding online computer hardware stores for UK, Germany/Europe or others?
Cant recommend any personally! (Have used a few but still wouldnt know enough to highly recommend anywhere ... pixmania I used a few times - reasonable price & easy to order with fast delivery in my experience - they're based in France but deliver Europewide I think)
I'm sure there'd be loads of people able to recommend sites here

How about "shopping" sites then -
(is that the correct term - preisvergleicher/price-comparer?)
e.g. http://www.schottenland.de/ seems to be the best hardware oriented one here in Germany with feedback re the sellers.

May I suggest my humble site?

http://www.davescomputertips.com/

Yes, I know it's my first post... Long time reader, first time donator

aakeg · « **Reply #42 on:** October 02, 2007, 11:08 AM »

Have always been a vivid fan of Donationcoder.com and a donator. Using ScreenshotCaptor daily for my work since 2 years.

For a hobby I build Virtual Appliances (Linux as a guest) for the free VMware Player with MS Windows as a host. I have built some 30-40 Linux distros and I'm one of the most active contributors on the VMWare Appliances list. Presently more than 5000 Linux distros are downloaded monthly (abt. 4000 GB/month) the majority being Windows users wanting to try out Linux without having to use LiveCD's or dual-booting.

The site has been featured by ShellCity, LinuxQuestions.org and others.

All is for free of course.

I'm actually going to lock this thread and ask people to post links they want to recommend in the main forum sections.
