Cody Figurines

[mouser]

I bought some clay the other day and left it out on the table.. overnight Cody flew in the window and when i woke up this is what he left:

Images lost unforunately

i guess i am supposed to give them away to dc members or something

[nudone]

ha, ha, fantastic.

[mouser]

they don't look exactly like cody - i can only assume they are part of his extended family..

[hamradio]

Nice work!

[jgpaiva]

Nice!
But they are different from each other. Is it a boy and a girl?

[mouser]

omg cody's crazy uncle came to visit - i snapped this picture while they weren't looking!  he even brought with him a pet dalmation snake!!!

[brotherS]

I was thinking he's inflicting some major pain on his plaything there!

[jgpaiva]

AhAh... I couldn't see the snake (window too small), so, i thought he was fishing!! AhaH

[nudone]

ah, Cody's uncle. he is one crazy dude, i've heard many a tall story about him from Cody. and the snake - don't even ask.

(i like where you're going with all this, mouser.)

[Carol Haynes]

Is Cody into bondage or something?

Mouser you have too much time on your hands

[JavaJones]

Dalmation snake? lol, this is priceless!

Cody's great-great-great grandfather was a war veteran (carrier pigeon or something) that retired to Florida to bake in the sun. Unfortunately for him, the gators took to fighting over him.

(these have been on my fridge for many years)

What kind of clay is that? Fimo?

Cody's a pretty cute sculptor ^_^

[app103]

mine was made from Sculptey

[mouser]

yep, sculpey (there seems to be like 100 dif brands made by them which are virtually identical):

http://www.polymerclayworld.com/sculpey.shtml

main thing is very easy to work with, then you cook it in over for 15 mins or so and it becomes hard and permanent.  definitely easy and fun, recommended for young kids and the young at heart

[OldElmerFudd]

aggh! you got me. Sculpey is found at Blick art stores here in L.A. hope i don't drool while i squeeze.

[f0dder]

Sculpey and Fimo are probably just both brand names - polymer clay, same difference

[mouser]

These two figurines are now being given away in the September Fundraiser Celebration Giveaway Drawing.
