Conditional diary

[Contro]

Do you know a good tool for conditional tasks ?

In everyday interaction we are receiving a lot of signals, interactual signals.

By example : if you receive a telephone call may cause an action or change in your calendar.

It is a process in continuous interaction.

Do you know a software to manage this ?

Best Regards

For once, I am minded to comment (cognizant of your software request) on physical paper wall calendars.
A good sized wall calendar with space to write things down has always proven invaluable to me to keep track of things at a glance.
But it only augments what you ask, so I'll limit myself to mere mention of it.
I would also be interested in seeing any other responses to your request.

Perhaps a project management system ?
But the project only cover one target usually, but have triggers and modal trees.

Medical Symptoms Diary or Journal

All My Journals is the perfect software for anyone looking to keep a daily record of their health and wellbeing. We already have users who use it to document their exercise regimes, and one user who uses it to keep a record of the medication she takes every day.

As many of us know, you can’t always rely on your memory to keep an accurate record of your actions, and when it comes to something as important as which pills you took, how many you took, and when you took them, it’s always better to write it down.

Medical symptoms can also be stored easily in All My Journals. How you felt each day, how your injury has progressed, etc. That way, when you go to see your doctor in a few weeks you can tell him or her exactly how you’ve been. The simple printing options in All My Journals make printing off a month’s entries for a single Journal a piece of cake, and the password protection enables you to keep all your medical information private.

So if this sounds like something you would benefit from, download the free 45 day trial version today, and try it out for yourself.

I think more info would be helpful Contro:

• what do you use already?
• what are the limitations of what you use already?

Sounds like you need some sort of PIM with calendar?

[Contro]

I am using CRM Goldmine 5.5 .
What i am looking for is a more eficient tools for some days.
Something like to have :
a Plan A, a Plan B, a Plan C for this very day.

By example :

My Plan A is listen TV from 08.00 am to 11.00 am while each hour I revise to clean the kitchen, the bedroom and the cat's home. And do also the plan C.

My plan A is subject to certain events : 1. If i receive a telephone call from my sister i will abandon the plan A and do the plan B

My plan B is repair the washing machine from 09.00 to 11.am . I will do only if a receive a phone call from my sister from 08to09 am . My plan B is subordinated to a sister's phone call. And do also the plan C.

My plan C is take notes each ten minutes. Notes in my mobile or in a notebook. I will do this while developing plan A or plan B. So the plan C is present in plan A and B .

But if i receive a call from my boss i will abandon the plan A,B and C and begin the plan D...

P.D. What will happen with the pendant tasks ?
But depends of the configurations : abandon forever, do as soon as possible, delegate, and so on....

In the case of an event.

Subordinated calendar
conditional calendar

In a certain way is a decision maker calendar

I'll take a look.
I don't want for my health. Just for action. conditioned or subordinated actions. Inteligent business ?
Make decision according to events ?
Coordinate actions according to circunstances, and not only with planning ?

[Contro]

may be a multi tasking project management utility ?

Able to realocate the task in the event of a certain category ?
modify the calendar according to events ?
flexible actions according to varying conditions ?

[Contro]

I think is lika an action tree.

If a condition is true then.....

While a condition is true then.....

If one condition fails then....

If one condition is false then or then and then....

[Contro]

With freemind is like a decision tree while the time is running...

But freemind don't manage time really.

[Contro]

As usual perhaps I am not doing the right question (do you remember the movie with Will Smith ( I robot ) when the doctor says : that's the right question... ?).
Perhaps the CRM software is the most powerful way to establish tasks....

I have CRM Goldmine 5.5 but i don't see the option.
This type of software follows a standard. Many CRM uses the same conventions....

So ....

I observ many differents types of tasks in goldmine

I will comment if i find the option.

Must be there.....

[Contro]

I thinks i have at least two options :

Activity codes in alert designs

Groups of activities in the goldmine project manager

[Contro]

This is a curious software :

Even seems free at the present moment.

This is a curious software :

http://www.infonautics.ch/decisionmakinghelper/

does looks interesting, but not free - €20 / $25
Also, if you want it to rate e.g. car prices - you have to (1) add in the price per car, and then (2) manually add rating for price for each car - I would have expected it to be able to figure out the rating by comparing the prices...

Why dont you just do a simple hierarchical tree in some PIM e.g.

Monday
-- AA
---- aa1
---- aa2
---- aa3
-- or BB
---- bb1
---- bb2
---- bb3
-- or CC
---- cc1
---- cc2
---- cc3

you plan to do AA, but if BB happens, you follow that branch; if CC happens you follow that, etc. and in most IM's you can rate the alternatives in terms of importance.

What is your best free PIM able to do that ?

Better is portable

I don't know how but my version of infonautics don't seems a demo.

Any PIM that supports the Franklin Planner methodology of prioritization would support what Tomos was suggesting.

do a search - I presume you're looking for one that has good Spanish ;-)
Any PIM would do what I suggested - I dont know anything about "Franklin Planner methodology of prioritization" (maybe you should research that too?)
EDIT// how about ToDoList?

Those go into the Franklin Planning system, which is very similar to what you put forth.

When I was using it (I use GTD now as it's more compatible with Agile), I used Achieve Planner and PlanPlus, but they're not free.  But the Franklin System is pretty standard, so you should be able to find it with a good search.

I have seen the pim wiki list but is difficult for me.
Now I will search all this

I prefer english. Is the universal language.
With spanish and english i can travel all the world I think

Ejem...... and the chrome translation online. Works well with russian, chinese,......
During a time i project to have notions of that important languages too. But I think I have to improve my english too.
So I prefer to improve my english and then have a good translation program.

I'll take a look too and comment.

One of my conclusiones until moment is that if you want a conditional agenda or diary you have to premeditated about those conditions.

The project software does. So are a type of conditioned diary.

There is a lot of specially relevant options - one for each human mind will be the target....

Is impossible i think , uniform the same method for all of us.

It's like the discussion about medicine based in the evidence and millenaire human medicine.

But this is good for the programmers.

Because I am that one not "conform" with the "uniformation" ....
