First and foremost, thanks for a great application, really saved me hours of checking for episodes asf. Regardless of whatever minor bugs people talk about, with/out, this is the closest and best solution I've come to managing an ocean of shows I follow, in a very longtime.

No more Notepad MacGuyvering my lists!

Thanks You!

Now my reason for posting this, besides conveying my thanks and gratitude, is the sudden stop, so I were wondering perhaps I had missed something, I'm kinda an update junkie >.<;;

FYI, using the beta build 56 atm, for my needs, it's invaluable!one1!, thus, wondering if you had moved on or perhaps slapped a sticker with a symbolic amount on it, somewhere I've been unable to find or simply just paused or put it on hold. the development of the program?

No matter what. This is possibly the best application I've had my claws on since Norton/Windows/Total Commander. With a slight amount of exaggeration, but, not far from the truth. Defo deserves a +1 in my book. Personally I was reluctant to donate as I had myself convinced it would end up in a commercial form, but if your leaving it as is, I'll throw some coins your way, just because of the hours you've saved me fiddling around with retarded websites is rather priceless.

Thank you for the very kind words.  I'm glad you've found the program useful.

Nope, you haven't missed anything. I had just been waiting for more feedback on the Profiles feature but I guess no news is good news.  I have another build with further fixes and tweaks that I need to upload.  I'll do that when I get back from holiday.

Nope, not going commercial with it.  As mouser mentioned (thanks, bro), I've been writing freeware for a pretty good while now and have no intention of going commercial.  It's a fun hobby and I intend to keep it that way.

Please forgive any typos or formatting errors as I typed this from my tablet in the hotel room. :]

I'm getting some programs on my list show up in the Weekly view but they aren't actually scheduled, at least not in my area. What location is EpCheck pulling the schedule from?

The schedule is compiled by epCheck internally based on dates from the data files.

PS - Hmm, worse yet when I double click on those entries I am taken to J River Media Center webpage for that show and it says there that the first air date was yesterday - July 27, 2014! It was actually on the air last year. It appears the problem is with bad data from J River.

Ugh, that huge J River Media Center advert at the top of the page is so misleading.  You're actually taken to the theTVDB.com webpage for a given episode.  But, yes, if the data is bad, the weekly schedule will be bad.  Garbage in, garbage out, as they say.  Which show is it?

Oh - and here's the actual first showing date, per Wikipedia:

Thanks!

This took a bit longer than expected but here is another beta version with lots of additions, changes, and fixes.  Before you use it, make a backup of your epCheck folder.

MAKE A BACKUP...PLEASE...

Get it here: http://skwire.dcmembers.com/apps/epcheck/epCheck_beta.zip

Thanks to everybody that dared use the betas and provided feedback.  I've decided to go ahead and release my internal build 73 as a full release.  As before, do yourself a favour and make a backup of your epCheck folder.

v1.1.4 - 2014-09-14
+ Added a "Profiles" option that allows you to create multiple lists of
series.  For example, you could create a Watched list, a Cancelled
list, an Ended list, etc.  Check out the Options tab to create new
profiles.  The profiles feature is currently a BETA feature and needs
some testing.  As such, there is a good possibility that it might not
work as designed and your epCheck data might be lost or otherwise
      munged.  Make backups.
+ Added an "<All Profiles>" entry to the Profiles dropdown to easily
view all series from all profiles.
+ Currently selected profile is shown in the statusbar.
+ Added "Move to" and "Copy to" profile options when right-clicking a
      series.
+ Added the series air time (EST) and network to the both the series
and weekly listviews.  (Thanks, Daniel P.)
+ Added status column to listviews.
+ Added icons to tab labels.
+ Added right-click search menu to the Search tab so you can now more
easily find web information on the search results.  (Thanks,
      kalvanotherwhen)
+ Option to allow ESC key to close epCheck.
+ Added Profile column to the Series list.
    * Changed "Load weekly view on startup" option to "Load weekly data on
startup" to avoid confusion with the startup tab option.
      (Thanks, hamradio)
    * Moved the "Show special episodes" option from the Options tab to a
      toolbar button.
! Fixed some issues with the right-click web search menu.
! Episode display format was not saved and applied properly.  (Thanks,
      kalvanotherwhen)
! Removing a profile wouldn't properly remove data folders for series
that didn't exist on remaining profiles.  (Thanks, vamiz)
! Fixed a nasty HTML encode/decode issue that could result in epCheck
getting stuck in a race condition.  (Thanks, S. Mainey)

Downloaded, installed, and looking good so far!

Thanks!!

Jim

Thanks, Jim.  I may have fixed that resizing bug from earlier, too.  Can you give it a thrashing and see if you can make that issue happen?

Cool!  Thanks.

You are very welcome.

Nice write up on betanews today:

Hi skwire;
Love this program, a real time-saver for me.  One minor issue I've been having for months now is that after I've deleted a series from the series list, it still shows up in the weekly schedule. This is not the case for all shows, only a few; specifically, I have 127 shows on my series list and at the moment 3 deleted shows are still showing up in the schedule.
Thanks m8!

Hi skwire - Until yesterday, I was using an older version but I upgraded to the latest release and don't recall what the older version was.  Regardless, even with the latest 1.1.5 build 1, the same issue persists (and I have not tried the beta multiple profile feature yet, just to rule that out as being a possible cause)

Cheers,
Scott

Nice, that did the trick... thanks!
