What software can you recommend for slow dial-up connection?

are you looking for a program to help speed up your internet connection?  those i don't know.

however, one thing you could do is get some nice programs to make life funner with a slow connection, like a download manager, that would make it easier to download stuff, and an offline browser (like website watcher), that would make it easier to read web pages while not connected to the net.
