Open parent folder in a new window utility for w7

I would an utility to open in a new window the parent folder with a shortkey or similar.

In xp was Control over the up arrow in the explorer window.

In w7 i know the possibility to duplicate the active window with Control+N

But how can I open the parent folder of the active window with a shortkey ?

After you hit Control-n and the new window opens, hit Alt-Up Arrow. It will go up to parent folder.
Alt-Up Arrow moves to parent folder in the same window in W7 and Vista.

I tried but only open the same window and is necessary select a file in the folder. So don't go in empty folders.
