24-Hours Giveaway - DiskBoss File & Disk Manager

[ocsid80]

We have just released DiskBoss - an easy-to-use file & disk
manager allowing one to manage files, analyze disk space,
classify and categorize files, find and remove duplicates,
synchronize disks and directories and much more.

The product is available here:

http://www.diskboss.com

The following DiskBoss Pro ($25) unlock key will be active for 24 hours:

Thank You!

Just like your/my SyncBreeze Pro, this is really nice, and fast to use.

However, I was more than surprised to lean that file matching rules (for the disk space analyser) is another $125. The shock may of course have been caused by my ignorance; I have no idea what it takes to implement such feature. It just *feels* way too expensive for my single, private, two-disk, PC.

Also, DiskBoss is just a little too slow scanning. I think it must be fair to compare the disk analysing part to the one of FolderSizes 5 Pro. And though I asked DiskBoss to use all 4 cores, it used 5:30 minutes to give the same result as FolderSizes gave after 4:00. I feel certain your next version will be faster.

But again, Thank You for this generous gift!

You are right, file matching rules should be available in the Pro version.

During the last week, we have significantly reduced the number of limitations
making a large number of features available in the Free version, but somehow
this specific feature remained available in the Ultimate version only.

Decision about this specific feature was already made during the last week,
so I think that it will be unlocked in the Pro version in the next product update.

Regarding the disk space analysis performance - DiskBoss processes and saves
additional information about all files (creation, last access, modification times and
optionally user names) making disk space analysis reports self-contained and
enabling instant file categories and filters in results and loaded reports.

This additional processing slightly increases the file scanning time, but it is
completely justified by additional features it provides.

Thanks! I've installed it and emailed the author to thank him for the free license.

this looks like a nice product, thanks for your generosity!

Thanks for your generosity!  One question- I'm in the midst of making a new computer and am going to be migrating my HDD contents to it; I take that just because I registered doesn't mean that will work on that computer if I don't get it installed before the 24 hours?  Just making sure.

Thanks again!

You need to install and register the product on the new computer before the giveaway ends.

To make your and others life easier, we have decided to extend the giveaway for two more days and the unlock key:

1538-4978-2972-2342

will be active until 6-Apr-2011

Wow!  Thanks!  I was just asking to know... not expecting you to do anything about it, as the offer is generous enough as it is!  Thanks!

Thanks for DiskBoss

I am sorry and feel stupid, but I don't know where to click to get the free pro version. The page leads me to a list of the different versions available and "pro" costs $25. What should I use? pay later, and enter the license number you mentioned? thanks a lot for your answer.

Try just downloading the Pro version on the download page and then enter the license key when you install it.

Tried to register but failed with an error:  The specified unlock key is invalid (ERR:102)

Guessing, with the various time zones, the giveaway period is over but thought I
should ask

thanks
