I ended up with 60 fps in IE and 3 fps in FF. Massive difference.

Ah. Got it. But it was extremely odd to get 2.4 MB down that fast. It's was instantaneous. MS uses CDNs, so it's no surprise that it's fast, but that was abnormally fast.

However (back on topic) Over all it was much faster than past experiences with the same type of (um...) transition.

i can't help noticing this in the IE9 Beta Product Guide but is it a coincidence that the XPS file size is almost 3 times smaller than PDF?
