[hulkbuster]

Hello folks this is my first ever post here at Donationcoder ,
i h some Video TUT to upload...i made the Video by Camstasia 3 , although i h v6 , but it tends to bogg down my System while recording,,,while searching thru GOOGLE i found this thread about converting swf to avi Camstudio/SWF uploaded , where this guy has uploaded a swf video. (clicking on the link, opened the TUT in another html page)
Can someone suggest me how can i achieve that in like manner(ie.,to show swf in another html),,,,the TUT i came up  was for UHARC (compressor) (avi uploaded in utube)
I would be very obliged if someone could help me here....(plz bare with my writing)

When producing a flash swf movie, Camtasia can be told to produce a web page for you.

While converting avi to swf, i think Camstasia Studio3, generates swf along with a single html file:

I got it upload in Screencast n few other swf hosting sites, but copying/pasting the url didn't get the results i wanted: the way i wanted:Eg:the way i want it to look like:
i want to upload in this manner:(please forgive me here, this is just an example, not hijacking)

i would really appreciate, anyhelp at this stage.....please

You need to upload all 4 files into the same folder on the server then point your browser at the HTML file.

[hulkbuster]

i did what i could understand, i made a folder in Screencast n frm their upload all the four files,,,,

then point your browser at the HTML file.

i could not follow this Statement,,,tried copying the url , but still no good.

i think you should click on the 1st thumbnail and then you will get a url that you can share with your friends (refer pic)

Sorry I did not understand what you wanted to do.

If you want to get it onto Screencast check out the tutorial at http://www.screencast.com/help/tutorial.aspx?id=310 This shows you which files can be played. SWF files can be uploaded and played but ther are some limitations.

The instructions I gave above are for uploading a webpage with your SMF file ready to play on normal web space - not on screencast.

To upload your SWF file to screencast you need to do the following:

1) If your SWF < 100Mb in size: Go to your screencast "My Library" page and click on the "Upload" button. Browse for the file and wait until a tick appears. That is it.

2) If your SWF file > 100Mb you need to download the tool for uploading larger files from http://www.screencast.com/tools.aspx and use that to upload your file.

After you have uploaded your SWF file it will be playable in the built in player provided it obeys the rules in the tutorial (linked above).

For future reference you might want to download Jing from the Techsmith website (see http://www.jingproject.com/).

Jing is another screen capture tool from Techsmith (and is free) which allows you to create SWF movies that can be uploaded automatically to screencast (the freature is part of Jing). It is much simpler to use than Camtasia but you can load the files it produces into Camtasia to add effects.

As I understand it Screencast was originally set up to work with Jing.

yeah i understand what u mean,,,copying the url , then the user would be redirected to ScreenCast,,,
thank u for trying to help, but i wanted the video to come up in another html, please check this post http://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php?topic=9230.0 and this is how i wanted http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Mouser/dragdrop/Movie_DragDrop/DragDrop.html the video to come, sorry for repeating myself here.....

[lanux128]

ok, this is how i understand the query. you want the video to be in another html (webpage) instead of being redirected to the ScreenCast website. well, you can try copying the HTML code and paste in the new html page that you want the video to appear (refer pic).

[lanux128]

i have made a demo for you here by taking the embed code and putting it into a new html file. hope this helps.

Yeah thats the way i wanted the Video to show up, if the whole idea is just to copy/paste the embeded code on another page, i did that n a Google error showed up (saying , the requested url was too large to process)

[lanux128]

is it simple copy/paste the embeded code n link to another page.
I can use that demo link u provided

here is the embed code.

&quot;copy-paste code&quot;

<object width="801" height="601"> <param name="movie" value="http://content.screencast.com/users/Hulkbuster/folders/For%20UHARC/media/2b191eb9-e0b7-47ca-8cc4-0c3279c783ae/bootstrap.swf"></param>; <param name="quality" value="high"></param> <param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF"></param> <param name="flashVars" value="thumb=http://content.screencast.com/users/Hulkbuster/folders/For%20UHARC/media/2b191eb9-e0b7-47ca-8cc4-0c3279c783ae/FirstFrame.jpg&containerwidth=801&containerheight=601&content=http://content.screencast.com/users/Hulkbuster/folders/For%20UHARC/media/2b191eb9-e0b7-47ca-8cc4-0c3279c783ae/Still%20to%20be%20edited.swf"></param> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param> <param name="scale" value="showall"></param> <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param> <param name="base" value="http://content.screencast.com/users/Hulkbuster/folders/For%20UHARC/media/2b191eb9-e0b7-47ca-8cc4-0c3279c783ae/"></param> ; <embed src="http://content.screencast.com/users/Hulkbuster/folders/For%20UHARC/media/2b191eb9-e0b7-47ca-8cc4-0c3279c783ae/bootstrap.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" width="801" height="601" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="always" flashVars="thumb=http://content.screencast.com/users/Hulkbuster/folders/For%20UHARC/media/2b191eb9-e0b7-47ca-8cc4-0c3279c783ae/FirstFrame.jpg&containerwidth=801&containerheight=601&content=http://content.screencast.com/users/Hulkbuster/folders/For%20UHARC/media/2b191eb9-e0b7-47ca-8cc4-0c3279c783ae/Still%20to%20be%20edited.swf" allowFullScreen="true" base="http://content.screencast.com/users/Hulkbuster/folders/For%20UHARC/media/2b191eb9-e0b7-47ca-8cc4-0c3279c783ae/" scale="showall"></embed> </object>

you can also view the source of the demo page and copy the code. good luck, either way..

[hulkbuster]

here is the embed code.

pardon my inquisitiveness here, i ran the video n found some fuzzy fragments (like it had being dubbed), it wasn't clear as i had uploaded.
i dont meant to extend this thread any longer, now i realized it's all in embed code.
i m really perplexed here, the embed code u provided , how do i use it,,,,so far i m running numerous search on GOOGLE, n found tons of crap which was, not much of a  help.  Few videos on utube were their,,,but, that was for embeding the utube videos on forums,,,,supporting HTML option n for BLOGGERS.
i m wondering how this guy really made it http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Mouser/dragdrop/Movie_DragDrop/DragDrop.html,with all Play, Pause interface.
i tried copy/paste the embed line here in this post,(by clicking insert hyperlink)  but it would produce an eye numbing line of words n numeral,,,,,
Even with the Embed Code , i m rendered quite helpless.

[lanux128]

if the end-quality of the video is not to your liking. then like Carol mentioned in her post, you can download Jing to re-record your screencast then later upload to Screencast. this way you will have more control over the video.

as for the 2nd query, Camtasia creates four files for each screencast. by referring to the screenshot you posted above, i'll break-down the functions of each.

• Untitled.swf <- this is actual video
• Untitled.html <- this is the container file in html format
• Untitled_config.xml <- this file holds info on whether to autoplay the video, to show controller, etc.
• Untitled_controller.swf <- this is the playback controller file

so again Carol has mentioned this before, all you have to do is upload these four files onto a web-server, then type the full address that ends with the html file instead of swf. e.g. http://www.hulkbuster.com/videos/Untitled.html. this way you'll have the playback functions as well.

P.S. the guy is [user]mouser[/user] and he has written some pretty good software around here.

[Carol Haynes]

If you want to embed the SWF file in an HTML file and then upload it to some webspace (using FTP or similar) you just need to edit the HTML file produced by Camtasia to customise it and include any other content you want on that page, change page titles, meta tags etc. and then upload all 4 files. Don't change the file names though or you will break the embedded code (and ideally when you export the HTML from Camtasia save with a file name that has only lower case letters and no spaces). So long as the four files are in the same folder on the webserver it should work fine.

You can't do this on a website like screencast or YouTube because all they are interested in is the original SWF file - you then have to create your own HTML file and use the embed code provided by the video file host (screencast, youtube etc) within the BODY tags.
