Judging by the reviews, it certainly can approach that level; you just have to do what the game says - turn the lights out, wear headphones and adjust the gamma on your monitor so it's as immersive as possible.
It certainly set MY heart pounding, and more than once I had to pause the game, pull off the 'phones and look around the room.
One time I almost stopped and yelled "Who's there?!"...

The guy in the video having his friends on while playing means he at least has an audience for his outbursts, which could explain a lot.
I have known many women who would not jump and squeal at horror flicks unless they had a boyfriend there to catch them.

Youtube reports nearly 10 million views so I'd guess you could say it's "gone viral."

Those Dmitri videos are awesome.
I've recently stumbled upon a few videos that made me laugh out loud.

Backstory: I like cats, and especially like to watch my cats flipping out over imaginary prey or predators.
I also like cheesy horror movies featuring creepy music that resembles weird free jazz experiments, but nothing prepared me for...
Kitten vs. Scary Thing!!

I thought I had learned my lesson, but then came...
Kitten vs. TWO Scary Things!!

What made that Kitten vs. Scary Thing video so good was how well the music fit it...almost as if it was composed for the video.

JavaJones · « **Reply #91 on:** July 19, 2011, 04:48 PM »

Yeah, I saw that vid a week or two back and likewise wondered if the music had been composed for it. It matches *incredibly* well.

Hahaha! Adorable!

Not funny, but interesting... am I the only one who thinks this would make for an awesome locale for a heist movie?

Ok, so I am not the only one that thought that.

Apparently it's made of around a ton of gold, so it might be hard to get it out down the stairs/elevator and out the door.

Sounds like fodder for a Jackie Chan comedy.
