I got a very prompt, polite, and helpful mail from them telling me that there's no [edit]charge for[/edit] upgrade price
I'm one happy customer (better go install it next lol)

As in, the upgrade from 2008 to 2009 is free OR you have to pay full price? I'm guessing the former, but thought I'd ask to be sure

I tried just a few from your review at http://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php?topic=7764.0
I used for quite some time ADC from ElcomSoft.  I stopped using it when I noticed that it had trouble scanning withing multi-part zip archives, whereas WCL does this fine.  I still miss some features from ADC such as displaying the free space on a media in the status bar.

Also, updating a media can be very long and CPU intensive with WCL, it was quick with ADC.

I had this briefly installed once, but then the machine died, and I didnt install in new one.

Redundancy I guess.  Cathy has a reduced set of features, but is very fast & compact, WinCatalog 2013, well, it's the opposite.  I get the best of both worlds and it's really not time consuming to use Cathy as well.

I have a license for WinCatalog 2011, but never really used it.  I wanted a cataloguer that would automatically import FILE_ID.DIZ and FILES.BBS data as descriptions in its catalogue, and it didn't do that.

Paid upgrade seems to be only every few years (if you own 2011 version it is still a free upgrade to 2015 version).
