Oh god, that's hilarious! This string especially:

>>> I not a programmer!

  File "<stdin>", line 1
    I not a programmer!
          ^
      Of course you are!

>>> quit
Python can not quit.
>>>
Python is now quitting.

Heh, the IRC session is pretty spot on the sugar... sadly, that is how the linux channels work, at least on efnet.

IRC? Too many kiddies.

I've given up on IRC except for a very few private channels. And those of us on those will probably be moving completely over to a groupware/conferencing solution sometime this year.

We're not trying to be secretive or elitist - we're just trying to have a few focused discussions; and occasionally get some work done.

Gotta love Uncyclopedia

uncyclopedia@uncyclo-laptop:~$ boot WinXP

No.

uncyclopedia@uncyclo-laptop:~$

OH, no you don't! That's not working this time, biatch.

Pwnt.

uncyclopedia@uncyclo-laptop:~$ ls -ld /usr/bin/X

The object is too far away.

WTF LOL

Depends on the channel - efnet/#donationcoder is pretty fine (and so is #C++, #winprog and a few others). But anything linux-related tends to be full of them. Perhaps freenet/whatever is better, but I couldn't be arsed going there.

A shame really, because instant communication is nice for getting stuff solved. Mailing lists have a better success rate (and nicer people!) but is unfortunately a lot slower than irc...

Glad you said that. I still like mailing lists and Delphi polls. Sometimes slow is nice too.
