IDEA: track and show my typing speed wherever i am typing

[chelle32]

been searching everywhere for this. anyone knows where i can find one for free that runs and will not interrupt my work or if not... could a good soul please design something like this

basically, it could be a small window just above the clock that shows the actual wpm when im typing in word, or email, or notepad, or chat, wherever.

why? several reasons, i obsess about these things, my hands hurt when i type too fast (my hands have a mind of their own) and i need to pace myself, and i just want to know all the time.

thank you so much

I found this script over at the (official) AHK forums.

It should do what you want, although it doesn't display the stats the way you asked for.
To view the typing speed stats using this script, type "mystats".

thank you Ordstrin  i looked at the thread/forum you were referring to and it was a little too complicated for me.

i wonder if there was anything you could download and install/uninstall?
