Spore: a Codyrific journey

Mouser told me to make a separate thread for my Cody race in Spore, so I did. Unfortunately I only began taking pics after I had the basic Cody shape in the game. So no pics from mid-late creature game or cellular.



Here I am in the early creature game, only pic I have from this part of the game. I am gonna play Cody as a evil savage killing machine because I have already played through the game as a diplomat (Besides I think Cody needs to get into shape and destroying enemy civilizations is gonna be great exercise!)

Moving unto tribal phase





Here we have the fresh Cody tribe, and the tribal outfit




Out killing animals for food, hahaha the yellow creatures in the last pic are the creatures from my previous game



Here I am waging war on the other tribes of the planet

And this is where we end the Tribal phase, oh hey. Cody earned me an achievement



New "civilized" outfit



Civilization, isn't it great? I will smash it with my mechs!



Apparently one of Cody's ancient ancestors have mutated and become huge

Oh god retreat, I will be back for you!!!



Hah, I've got backup!



I am kicking ass and taking names!

A small ICBM attack later and I am off to the space phase



I decided a flying tank would be appropriate because of how the Codys behave



Our first colony!



And first contact with aliens, they seem friendly. I'll blow them up when I have assessed their strength

Holy carp! This is indeed a momentous occasion for both the Cody Empire and the Crocidius! As of this very moment, the Crocidius have made contact with the first alien race, and it is none other than the Cody Empire! Cody has awesome armor, by the way!

I wonder if it's completely random, or if there's some insanely sneaky AI and web-crawling going on in the game

You're more likely to see the content in your game from Sporecasts you subscribe to. Adding a friend to your buddy list is effectively subscribing to a Sporecast made up entirely of your friend's content.

Unfortunately, Spore seems to think it's a good idea to share the same creature multiple times, so I've actually met two different Cody Empires now and another "alien" race that doesn't like me that is actually also my Crocidius race (with my old Tribal clothes on). That's kind of a bummer. So right now there are two Cody Empires (who wear different clothes) and two Crocidius races, and a couple of other alien races.

I think Cody Empire is made up of a bunch of Space Hippies. Here's how the rest of that conversation went after I said "I am from the Crocidius. I come in peace."

I don't like the "Civilized" Cody outfits because I ran into another Cody Empire in my game and they look like that one. And they're mean warfaring beasts who got bored with the alliance we forged. They now demand money from me with threats of declaring war if I don't pay up.

I much prefer the cooler Space outfit (that you can see in my screenshots). They may be hippies but they sure do look cool!

Hah, well. I did play a complete "Carnivore" game trough their evolution

Definitely sounds like Cody has let all the donations go to his head.
